The Wired Gallery in the small village of High Falls is an example of why people go to out of the way places to seek and to see quality art. It is about visual communication that cannot be put into words, It is about messages that could not remain unsaid.
It's a gourmet place of art in all its delicious aspects: the surprising variety of art work, the clean layout that makes it easy to communicate with each piece, and the most inviting atmosphere created by the gallery owner Sevan Melikyan. It's worth going. You will enjoy it :)
Sevan Melikyan opened Wired Gallery in High Falls with a vision to share the work of artists in a welcoming and accessible environment. He has done just that and more! His ability to inspire and energize artists, visitors and the community is felt throughout the Hudson Valley. The gallery is located in charming High Falls and the art work is insightfully chosen and presented to involve the viewer in an engaging look at art and ideas. At Wired Gallery, Sevan reminds us of the relevance of communication through visual art. What an inspiring pleasure! Thank you Sevan and family for offering this gift. Don't miss the opening parties!
If you're a vacationeer or a weekender in the Hudson Valley, one of the pleasures is finding small, unexpected surprises-- the swimming hole up the road from Alligerville, the Canal House restaurant in High Falls, once Craig Claiborne's favorite spot, the D&H Canal Museum. The Wired Gallery isn't far from all of these, and it, too, is chock full of surprises. Gallerist Melikyan has catholic, even eclectic tastes, combined with a discerning eye. In a given season, a group show might feature sculptors who draw, and smaller group shows or solo shows could include everything from neo-primitive landscapes to minimalist abstraction. It's always worth a visit, not least if you have the chance to engage with Melikyan, who is knowledgeable, funny, and charming.
If you find yourself in the Hudson Valley this holiday season, don't miss the current show at the charming Wired Gallery in High Falls! There are dozens of $50. gems being offered, as well an array of larger works by many noted local artists. The atmosphere is as inviting as you'll find anywhere~ a delightful director to welcome you, with a spot of tea along with a veritable feast for the eyes!
We just happened upon this gallery during a recent stay in the Hudson Valley. We were pleasantly surprised by this little gem - a variety of good, interesting art in a bright and open space. The family that owns this gallery was friendly, helpful, available for questions and not even a little pushy. One of the nicer gallery experiences we have had.
Wired Gallery in High Falls New York is a work of art in its right. It carries a variety of art from well-established artists and soon to be well known artists. It is the perfect place to discover new artists and styles. The owner, Sevan Melikyan, is very pleasant to talk to and is very knowledgeable in his field. He was very attentive but I never felt that he was pressuring me to purchase anything. His gallery is well lit and the art is expertly displayed. It is a desirable place to visit in the Catskills. Make it a must-see destination when you are in the Catskills area. You will not regret it.
Finding this gem of a gallery is a real treat. Nestled in the town of High Falls, NY, close to Mohonk Mountain House and New Paltz and Rosendale, the Wired Gallery features world class art work at bargain prices. A perfect place to purchase art as a special gift- original, well presented art work in every medium. Sevan is the director of this space and his taste is excellent in finding beautiful pieces that would enhance any wall or room. I highly recommend a trip to this very cool upstate NY destination. Stroll by the waterfall where Splendor in the Grass was shot. Dine at the eclectic Eggs Nest or the famous and revered Canal House. Visit the Canal Museum. Get a special gift of flowers or jewelry at the Green Cottage. All in easy walking distance. A perfect day in the country.
