We went today and were greeted by a lovely welcome but after this it all seemed empty, rundown and not much happening. We explored outside but a lot of the animals weren't viewable. Plus very little information on the animals. Dinos were good inside but most of the computers weren't working. A lot of outdoors activities weren't running...den building, go karts etc. Toddler activities involved making crafts but the lady running it spent the whole time we were in there sat chatting with another Mum about her own child. There were no scissors to actually do the craft. No guinea pig fishing. loved the indoor beach and spent a lot of time here. Has the potential to be great just wasn't during a wintery monday during term time. We had heard good things too. A shame.
We visited on Tuesday I. The half term holiday. It was a lovely sunny day. Lots to see and do, in fact we need to return to fit it all in! Some lovely and more unusual animals, lots to do indoors and out. Fantastic value for money. We got very muddy but it was all part of the fun! Brilliant!
My daughter, grandson and grandaughter came here today for a 5th birthday party. The weather was dull, damp and the terrain very muddy. But wow! What a fantastic place! There is LOADS to see and do, the staff are friendly and helpful and the exhibits fun and informative. The food is good and reasonably priced. As we live only 12 miles away this is going to be a regular day out. In spring and summer the opportunities here are endless. Well done to All things Wild.
I visited All Things Wild today with my 3 children. They are 13, 10 and 6. We had a truly fabulous day. The place was extremely clean, spacious, great value for money and the staff were very polite and friendly. There were lots of different enclosures, all were clean and had plenty of space for the animals. There was plenty of information regarding the different animals and habitats. The younger 2 particularly enjoyed collecting the stamps scattered around the park and answering the questions on the sheet ( given to them at reception), so they could get their sticker at the end of the day. They also enjoyed petting the guniea pig in the animal encounter barn. There were go karts, an outdoor play area and football goals, which the children enjoyed. There was also an indoor beach and indoor play equipment, all clean and well maintained. We walked around the dinosaur zone. Beware, in wetter months it's Very muddy!!! However, the massive dinosaurs were fantastic and there was plenty of information. In the Dino barn there are 2 levels of dinosaurs and mammoths, which were rather cool! There was also a helicopter the kids can go in and explore. There is plenty of picnic benches and tables and chairs for eating. There was a lovely cafe, which had a wide variety of food and was reasonably priced. Again this area was lovely and clean. The gift shop was very well stocked, although it was quite pricey. We will definitely visit again in the summer. We had a very enjoyable day.
Just spent an excellent morning with my grandson. We started with a birthday treat for my grandson with a reptile encounter, where he was able to interact with the reptiles which including helping at feeding time to weighing tortices, Penny the keeper was excellent explaining all about the reptiles and being very patience explaining how they are fed and encouraging my grandson to safely handle the reptiles. We the then enjoyed a refreshing drink and cake in the cafe. We then put on our welligtons to visit the rest of the outdoor centre which was great fun petting the animals, going on the venture trail and dinosaur park and had great fun in the new dinosaur centre. Well done All Things Wild and congratulations to all your friendly staff.
Took my two granddaughters today for the second time , (aged 6 and 1). Had a fantastic day, since my last visit they have introduced a dino barn , new animals and an indoor beach, the girls loved every minute and we're constantly entertained,. The weather turned rather wet in the afternoon but there was plenty to do undercover, in fact, most of the afternoon was spent "on the beach" they also enjoyed the soft play area and the tractors. The food was lovely and although busy the cafe staff were constantly keeping the tables clean and sweeping the floor... It felt very clean and staff were friendly and polite. Will definitely be visiting again during the next school holidays ... Happy , busy children = happy parentsGreat place!
Had my sons 3rd birthday party at the end of January and it was brilliant - so much to do and see and the kids were knackered by the time they left. Our two hosts for the party couldn't have been friendlier - very good with the children and spoilt the birthday boy.
We have been here a couple of times with our 5 & 2 year old grandchildren &there is something for all both indoor & outdoors.Petting animals,go karts, adventure trail, soft play, indoor tractors & educational talks, the indoor beach is a real favourite. My only caution would be that the food is only OK & quite expensive, but don"t let this stop you going, take a picnic.
After finding this on the web I took my 2 year old. I was blown away by the giant dinosaurs! My son couldn't believe his eyes! There go karts (which are free of charge) a giant sand area, a soft play area and an outdoor play area, also there's swings that look on to the dinosaur field and my little one lived this ( he was shouting at the dinosaurs to watch him while in the swing ;-) really lovely day and considering my son gets bored easily, we were there for 4 hours- says it all!!
Found this by chance on Internet....we have had a super day out with our 6yr old grandaughter. There is so much to see ...the Dino park was excellent....reptile house...small animals to hold..outside play area ...indoor ball pool ..and for younger children a tractor race course...plus lots more.Good value for money and good healthy food Even though it was cold and windy we did all the outdoor things. Will certainly return in warmer weather and will definitely recommend to other Grandparents!!
