We were looking for some sun over Memorial Day weekend. What we found was far beyond, sun, a great location for a B&B, wonderful wines, and we're beer drinkers, mind you, and great people. This was one of the most relaxing and fun weekends I had in a long time. The wines are EXCELLENT, the tasting room so different from the ones of other wineries I have seen. A beautiful setup, and one can purchase appetizers to go with the wines; it was an experience making me believe that I was sitting in the garden of a Tuscan winery. The room we stayed in (Pinot Noir Suite) has an unbelievable view onto Mt. Hood, and the breakfasts were out of this world. I thought that I would have to make a friendly face at least once during the 3-day stay and eat waffles for breakfast. Well, if you like waffles, I'm sure Gail makes you waffles, but we had Eggs Benedict, an omelet and a quiche for breakfast. All three were truly excellent. What can I say, we'll be back several times this summer, and I'll be bringing friends from Germany in the fall.
We loved the pear wine, we hated the fruit flies but that just goes with the harvest season. The lady at the bar was very friendly and knowledgeable.
So this was my second location of choice after researching; after visiting, quite frankly, it should've been number one. Great service, awesome organic wines. Mallory was awesome.
sanderson3 - Thank-you so much for taking the time to write a review about your visit to Pheasant Valley. We appreciate your honesty about organic wines, and so glad that you will come back to visit to enjoy the atmosphere and a glass of wine! Also I would like to thank-you for your kind words about our staff an atta boy was given for your comments!! Cheers!!
We spotted the sign for this winery on our way into Hood River and made a note to visit on our way back. Wow, are we glad we did! Melissa was pouring for us and she was a delight to chat with. The wines were wonderful and we purchased several bottles to take with us. We also had a meat and cheese platter for a light lunch that we recommend as well. This is a place we will visit again and again when in the area!
Thank-you for the kind words!! Glad you had a good time!!! We hope you come back again!!! Cheers!!!
This is in response to the aforementioned negative review by a patron and his experience at our winery. The person was visibly intoxicated. We were forewarned by the limousine driver not to serve the individual. We by law cannot serve a visibly intoxicated person. Patron became upset and his negative review is the result of us not serving him alcohol.
My husband and I stayed here for two nights and found it to be the perfect place to stay for a relaxing, charming, romantic little getaway. Gail was a very pleasant hostess, along with her husband and visiting friends. She cooked us wonderful breakfasts, told us where we could find a tennis court to play on in the middle of an orchard, and treated us like family. The house is beautiful, our room was cozy, the surroundings are gorgeous and quiet. We would definitely go back again and again.
We were here almost 2 years ago and enjoyed the wine tasting at Pheasant Valley and when we went today it was still a positive experience. They take the time to explain their wines and we enjoyed tasting some of them. We enjoyed the small cheese & crackers tray we purchased with them. No one rushed us so we had time to savor the many different flavorful wines. Yes, again we purchased from them. The wines are very good and NOT over priced at all. Will return when in this area again.
Thank-you so much for stopping by our Winery and Vineyard, and for taking the time to let us know how much fun you had!!! We are so glad you enjoyed the Self-Guided Tour and our wines!! We hope you'll come visit us again if your in the area!! Oh and the pictures you posted are AWESOME!!! Thank-you!!!! Cheers!!
