The Pennsylvania Trolley Museum is a fascinating place to spend a few hours. The ride on the trolley is fun for the whole family, there is a lot of historical information in the education building, and the collection of different trolley cars is first rate. The people who talk to you are very knowledgeable and they are the ones who spend their time restoring the cars to operating condition. A trip back in time for the older generation and lots of fun for everyone.
This was a unexpected surprise. I was really fascinated by the museum and all the cars I saw there. I especially enjoyed the trolley ride. The staff really enjoyed thier job and the trolley drivers were really knowledgeable. They have trolley's going back to the horse drawn era. Some of these old trolley are just amazing to look at and touch. The workmanship that went into them is amazing.
Takes you back to the days of the streetcars. Those of you who never had the experience to ride in a street car, now you can experience. It is not a very long ride but my grandkids thought it was a fun outing
Brilliant! Informative and the trip on the trolley car took us back to our childhood.Fascinating to see the impact and change it made on society and the way we lived. The people at the museum have a real passion for their subject without making it boring or too intense. So glad we found it.
super short train ride and to much history talking.. kids can't stand that long and listen to that.. they wanna see the trolleys and ride them...
CharmingYou feel as if you are part of history and can connect with yourancestors...just wonderful.
We were looking for something to do on our way to Pittsburgh & found this museum. Got to ride an actual trolley from days gone by & hear a lot of interesting stories for a very knowledgeable volunteer. They have an outstanding collection of trolleys from different time periods & the stories behind them were fun as well as educational. Fascinating place. Well worth your time!
Trollys and light urban rail cars from 1870 to 1988 are on display. The tour guids are very friendly and knowledgeable about the history of the light urban rail cars. There are trollys on display that have been featured in some movies. There is a short trolly ride to the County Park that is always fun. There are many seasonal events such as the Haunted Trolly Ride. It is fun for the transportation history buff and fun for families. They even have Trolly Birthday parties and other events for groups.
Had a great time field tripping here. There are picnic tables for you to be able to eat your lunch. Not a lot of share but the kids loved it!!!!! Everyone was really nice!
Great place to spend 3+ hours without breaking the bank ! Huge, much larger than I ever expected Trolley Museum that you ride a ......trolley....to get to. Very nice guides available to explain the various trolleys. Children (and adults) are able to climb on many of the museum trolleys. After that, it's a trolley ride thru the countryside for a few miles, back to the visitors center. This is a great trip back in time for young and old alike.
