This wineyard has all the specialities, red wine ,white wine and the reknown icewine.Has a nice restaurant with it and a taste area where you can taste two wines for free, if you like more to taste you have to pay extra.
We've been to over 50 wineries, though we are by no means experts on wines. Still, we know what we like, we've experienced lots of tasting rooms, and with all the high reviews we expected more. The wine was so-so at best, and the hostess pretty blah. The Kir wasn't bad, but beyond that, nothing else excited us. We'd skip this one and try one of the others on the island.
This is a small winery with excellent wine. It is very picturesque with the spectacular Montmorency Falls as the vista. The wine is good and there is an attached deck where you can order food from a truck that is supposedly owned and operated by one of Quebec City's finer restaurants. The food was excellent, the staff was very attentive and friendly. I found their red wine similar to a Rose' and their white fruity similar to a Sauvignon blanc. Their other white was more woody. I know the wine snobs out there are raising an eyebrow at my simplistic descriptions. Quoting a well known wine connoisseur, "A good wine is one you enjoy!". I enjoyed all of their wines but the fruity white are the bottles that came home with me. I recommend you visit this winery.
We did a biking tour with a bike company who took us from Quebec City to the islands. On the islands we got the bike and could start cicling. You have several routes with different kilometers. We did the small tour (around 20 k) as we did wine tasting and chocolate tasting. The winery Vignoble Ste-Petronille had good wines but even better food. And the terrace offers amazing views. We had good fun on this island!
We pass by Vignoble Ste-Petronille in August 2013 with my mother and we really appreciate the friendly staff and of course de "dégustation de vin".Delicious and entertaining.
My fiancé and I stopped by here while on a leisurely drive around the island. Being near the bridge, it was our first stop (very easy to find) but I can honestly say it was my favorite! The staff, who spoke both French and English, were extremely helpful and welcoming! We sampled 4 of their wines (my favorite by far was the white wine with black current) and bought a few bottles to take home as souvenirs. Everything was reasonably priced. The vineyard itself is stunning, set right near the river. We will definitely recommend this place to anyone we know traveling to Quebec and hope to visit again in the future! Thank you for the experience!
Our innkeeper in Quebec recommended lunch at this winery, and she was right on the mark. Behind the wine-tasting room is a food truck serving incredible small plates. This is seriously good food. We shared a grilled tomato with goat cheese and greens and a plate of local charcuterie--both were easily the best meals we had during four days in Quebec. The food was so good that we didn't even try the wines!
