With the feeling that at some point will arrive the crummy Odysseus,i enjoyed this wonderful beach.!!!The clear waters of the coast from those who want to stay as much as possible. When you find yourself on this coast, will keep lots and lots of pictures for those cold winter days
Great clear sea, nice sunbeds and umbrellas and taverna to eat or drink something. Nice music too. Even when crowded it's still a great beach to go to.
Nice beach, with clear waters and lots of facilities (like a beach bar). Usually crowded though, especially after midday.
Excellent place to spend your long sunny days, lovely views and pleasant surroundings with a good snack bar.
Based on some of the very positive reviews we made a point of driving out to find Filiatro beach.Rather a waste of time really as it fell far below the image given in the reviews. Yes, it has sun beds to rent (which is almost unknown on Ithaca) and has a small beach bar but the bar was a joke. It did sell teas/coffee/beer but when it came to food it did just 2 things. Chips or meat skewers. Neither of which attracts on a hot, sunny beach.Wouldn't bother returning as there are far better beaches on Ithaca.
We liked the color of water and the surrounding nature. The sun beds are not comfortable and as the beach is small and easy to access there were many young noisy children.Ideal for families but not for couples.
Beach is like a hug. Lots of trees all around, crystal clear waters, cool bar. You can rent sunbeds but you can also use your own in the end of the beach which is the best part of it. Due to a unique plant in the surrounding forests, there is a very pleasant smell in the air. A little crowded in the month of August.
The sea was wonderfull, but the fact that there is no adequite room for parking is a nightmare.I also think that 10 euros for 2 sunbeds and an umbrella is expensive.
Being fairly close to town this beach is easy to access and was quite busy even though we were there towards the end of the season. The sun was still warm and the water refreshing. The bar was not open and chairs were chained. Not our favorite beach but any beach is a good one!Worth a stop for sure but prefer Gedaki Beach.
Great place to be, swim, eat drink and have fun under the shade of the trees on the fabulous waterfront..
