Great trails and snow, fast and comfortable lifts. A bit pricey but it's worth it! Streif is the best!
Brilliant! Views are breath taking. Had an amazing lunch on the top of Hahnenkmm; what more can you ask for. Best ski run in the world along with a great beer.
sadly there was only man made snow and only a few runs open however it was still amazing and well worth it.the ski facilities are exceptional. You can rent lockers to keep all your gear in at the bottom of the gondola ....beautiful heated lockers. The restaurants up the top of the mountain are amazing and the Austrian people are all friendly and can not to enough to make you feel welcome. The snow is very thin at the moment with ice and therefore it is not wonderful but the atmosphere is so amazing, it is well worth the holiday.
While on our recent trip one of the party had an accident and the Bergbahn were excellent in getting our friend down off the mountain and had an ambulance at the bottom waiting to take him to hospital really, really effeceint.
We walked in the city centre very old and niceWe didn't like the shops in the main street very high classbut same of every where else(not Austrian)by the station a cabin lift to the top was fantastic
This was worth every Euro! (Just over 40 E's for two adults - up and down) Great ride up with stuuning views. There's a very good restaurant at the top and on a clear day you can enjoy a meal and take in the fresh mountain air and scenery. We were lucky...travelled in October and sat out in shirt sleeves. My advice,,,,do it!
We had a stunning day and the views .... Wherever you looked it was just incredible. I can thoroughly recommend a walking holiday at Kitzbuehel for sheer variety and scope of walks.
Just back from a great bucket list trip to Kitzbuhel . We had a potpourri of conditions from hard pack to powder to blue skies. We spent one day watching the famous Hahnenkamm downhill with100000 of our closest friends! Great runs numerous restaurants and high capacity lifts made for a terrific few days of skiing. Easy to get to by train from Munich.
Lifts first week jan went for 6 day pass but were told about bad weather at the top of "The Horn" so 5 day bought and free after 3pm advice well founded.Rest of the week beautiful conditions.820 snow making units ensure snow.
A high number of lifts and lots of Alms makes this a great place to ski. They managed to keep the slopes open, even with limited amount of snow.
