This is a really beautiful church, both inside and out, that I most probably would have missed out on visiting had I not booked a private tour. Entrance is free, but a pass to take pictures inside is very very cheap and well worth the money, plus probably helps the upkeep of such a beautiful church. It was a real highlight of my trip.
This is my favorite church in Kiev. It is not as spectacular as two or three of the cathedrals, but it a great location with views of the city
St Andrew's church is a beautiful façade, but really could be better preserved despite the spring it sits above.
Beautiful architecture. At the top of a winding old road, the character of the church and location is wonderful. Plenty of souvenirs to be had on the Andreevsky Spusk, where you can buy authentic local artwork and stop in for good food and drink.
1 of 7th wonders of Kyiv, it is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. It was constructed in 1747-1762 in Baroque style after the project of the prominent architect F.-B. Rastrelli.
Impressive church, both inside and because of the amazing view on Kiev from it. A visit to Kiev without visiting Saint Andrew's church would not be complete!
Located at the top of St. Andrew's Decent, this church offers a great view of the surrounding city. It is a very beautiful church though it lacks the sacred feeling of St. Michael's. It is certainly worth your time.
Great views from here across the city - a little bit was cordoned off so view restrcited at the top of the hill - but you must visit here if you go to Kiev
The only church in Kyiv, which doesn't have bells. If you are curious why, you can check old legends :)Definitely MUST VISIT place. It is charming both outside and inside.
The layout of this church means it appears deceptively small on the inside. When I visited it was crammed with worshippers and officials and whilst the spectacle was interesting this was not one of Kiev's better churches.
