It is a very beautiful beach withe everything you need: restaurants, nice people, amazing view. Sea is calm and water is not cold.
Once referred to as the most sought after beach in Joao Pessoa, in the last few years it has taken a turn for the worse. Quite often polluted. Footpaths broken, making them quite dangerous for walking. No infrastructure at the far end near the newer hotels. Poorly lit at night, especially the back road, which is quite unsafe. On the positive side the road has been much improved from the roundabout heading towards the Estacio Ciencia.
Nice infrastructure, although simple. Nice hotels along the shore and also nice places to eat.Safety. I didn´t see peple begging for money around as usual in other beachs along the northeast cost. The water is really clean as well as the sand, Beach proper to bath.Staying there, you are not away from other restaurantes, loated in a paralel street.Anyway sometimes you need to walk a little to reach the best bars and restaurants. If you are using a car, no problem. You can use also a taxi. I will not be expensive because using a car, the distances are quit short. It´s easy to park close to the beach.Nice place also for jogging.Go and enjoy.
Beautiful beach with wide sand area. Not crowded, with great beach umbrella/chairs service plus catering. Good food. Fair prices. A great place for some relaxation!
Have been living in a hotel across the street and here I go. PROS: nice water & sand, very reasonable prices for chairs and umbrellas rental, clean, probably no impossible to find a parking spot, lot of sellers offering drinks, ice cream, life vests and more, many restaurants nearby (beach side not-so-good, street side much better and perhaps lower prices and air conditioned dining rooms). public showers at some locations. If you are not very picky kind of Montecarlo or Ibiza only type, then you will be OK here. CONS: you might not want to adventure walking the parallel streets after hours.
Beautiful beach, and safe, even for a woman walking alone after dark! I was there off season and there was not a lot of people, almost no annoying sellers. Great!
Lovely beach with good range of cabanas serving food and drinks. If you go further along to the right of the beach, much quieter. May just have been unlucky but every time we went, was very windy. Quite strong currents don't make it great for children swimming.
Near the Cabo Branco, this lovely beach is right in the town of João Pessoa, but you get the impression you are miles away of everything!Beautiful, quiet and all for yourself (off season - of course).
It is a beautiful place to see João Pessoa at night. If you want to walk in the beach, their are to many corals and not too much sand. But, it is worthwhile to try it.
Just a little bit too busy for me, regular hussle from the beach bars and street sellers means there is no real charm.
