I am from Orlando and I have to admit...I was in this place acting like a kid! One of my friends had her daughters B-day party here and I swear no one sat down for four hours!!! It was GREAT! I took my 2yr old and 4yr old and by the end of the day my 4yr old was going on the slides by himself! My 2yr old was going on the slides with any available person...LOL!!! I totally reccomend this place. Staff was nice...dont speak that much of English but they did ok for the most part!
The actual establishment was amazing. While the inside was beautiful and kept extremely clean, I rated this spa averagely due to the customer service. I understand that a language barrier is always something that causes confusion, and delay, but the two women at the front counter didn't treat me as if I were at a spa. I brought in a gift certificate and as soon as they saw that, their expressions/moods changed. Ten people came into the building and were standing in line behind me at one point in time. I was told to stand at the side and wait so that they could be checked in. I was told when making the appointment to show up 15 min early, and was glad I showed up 30 min early because I would have missed my appointment if I followed their instructions. I stood by the counter for 25 min as they struggled to look my reservation up. A little politeness and an occasional smile would go much farther than I think those women understood. All in all I came for a massage (Thai) and got just that. It was wonderful, but my first impression was crushed due to the rudeness of the two women at the front desk. I was hesitant to go upstairs. I don't think I'll ever pay to go back.
My 3 and 5 year old girls loved this place from the non-swimmers pools (one inside and one outside) to the wave pool with a nice gradually descending entry to the blackout water slide. It was not busy at all at the end of July, so no wait times for the slides and plenty of room in all the pools, water nooks and lounge chairs. We spent 3 hours there and afterwards decided to eat at the Burger King about 500m away. Great time and really relaxing for the parents because our children are swimmers.
We had three adults and two kids go today. It was 30€ for the adults for 3 hours. The kids were under 12, so they got in free. The woman working st the front counter didnt speak very good English, so we were confused on the process. We found the lockers and they were easy to figure out. Put your chip in and you can remove the bracelet. This will lock the door. But we weren't for sure how to get to the pool. We finally found it. The indoor pool was okay size. Nothing too large. There were two seperate ones inside. They had the waves that would come through. We all enjoyed the water slides. There is one that you can take a tube down or go without. We all thought it was faster going down with the tube. The dark tunnel tube was very slow. My friend and I figured out if we went on our stomach that we went faster. Just be prepared to go up a lot of steps! It is 3 flights to get to the first tunnel and another flight to get to the dark tunnel. You can swim through to get outside. It is not very large pool, but was fun. There is a spout that sprays out water. There were also two kid areas, one inside and one outdoors. They also have food and drinks for sale. We got three adult beverage for around 10 €. We didnt try the food. The building is very nice inside and was very clean. We didn't try the sauna or the clothes free area.
This is a really nice spa and a great way to spend the day. Just, if you're not German, you might want to know the following.1. Bring your own robes and towels if you can, because the deposit (pfand) is outrageous (50 Euro per bathrobe, about 20 Euro per towel). 2. Ask to be shown how to navigate the locker rooms and use the weird chip-based payment system. There are multilingual staff here, shouldn't be hard to find someone to walk you through their quirky procedures.3. Unlike a Korean or other Asian spa it is a mixed-sex nude environment that has some overtones of a nudist resort or beach -- meaning that there's huge outdoor area where in warm weather you can basically eat, drink, walk around and do whatever you like naked. Took me a bit of getting used to -- it's a lot of jiggly flesh to behold. But no one wears bathing suits, so don't bother.. 4. A number of people seem to feel that once they've put a towel down on a lounge chair or hammock, they own it. This seems to be the unspoken law of all German resorts. The enlightened staff, however, does not feel this way and will remove towels and belongings from long-vacated chairs so others can use them. However, if you are the beneficiary of a staff decision to remove stuff from a previously occupied chair/hammock/etc., you can expect to be gruffly confronted by middle aged naked people hovering menacingly over you, demanding answers. This happened to us, and to another couple. Refer the fuming nudists to staff -- if you lack language skills, point to nearest staff member and hope for the best. Not sure why Monte Mare does not solve this simple problem with a sign saying "chairs vacated for 10 min or longer will be cleared." Maybe the drama is part of the fun. 4. Good massages in really nice massage rooms.. not cheap, but good. The food is good too.
Just spent Sunday afternoon in this beautiful spa, and it definitely has the best sauna garden out of all the many German saunas I have visited. Beautifully laid out with a woodland walk, many quiet shady or sunny areas and lots of levels. Loved the "vineyard area"!The whole complex is spotlessly maintained, with plenty of variety of saunas and treatments although the "Aufgass menu" was a bit limited the day we visited, however this maybe different on other days. The food in the garden restaurant was delicious and beautifully presented, good value for money. Admission to the sauna between 20 euro & 28 euro for a day passWill definitely be returning and trying some of the other locations this company has in the region.
Spas are a big draw in Germany. This is a very nice spa. The place is clean and well decorated. Nice way to spend a sunny morning in Germany.

If you are willing to 'Dare to Bare', you'll have a very relaxing time in this excellent local spa. It's clean, reasonably priced, and offers many options in saunas, pools, rest areas, steam rooms, etc. They also offer a very nice lunch menu. Take your beach towel, a robe, and I take a water bottle.
