Great spot for Basic Camping...fishing and swimming...the Campsite are typical BC Prov. Park style.. No hookups but does have water and showers..Only 20 mins from Kamloops
A beautiful spot in summer or winter. In winter, there is cross-country skiing (even more so next door at Stake Lake). In summer, boating, fishing and hiking. In summer, a good way to beat the heat. In winter, a way to get above the low valley clouds and back in the sunshine.
nice lake, with lots of sites to pick from. great beach/grass area for daytime picnics. Also if your a geocacher there's a few of those around the area too. Good fishing in the lake too.
Postcard sunset with fish jumping and the lake so calm it could have been glass. With rare exception the only sounds I heard were natural. Did I mention the food. Delicious! Coupled with the considerate service and gentle atmosphere I will definitely go there again.
This lake is a bit small and cold to really use recreationally. There are better choices within an hour's drive such as Shuswap Lake or Nicola Lake. Still, a nice provincial park, close to Kamloops with very good cross country skiing in Winter.
Great campground with families, lots of sand to play in. The campsites are large. The only down fall is paying for extra vehicles.
This place is peaceful, serene and awe inspiring all at the same time. A true natural gem close enough to Kamloops for a day trip but a world away... So relaxed & restful after our trip.
Forested provincial park. Easy access. Ramp out onto the water. Barbecue shelter. Lots of campsites. Flush toilets. Lawn picnic sites at the lakes edge.
Unfortunately a lot of the pine trees were destroyed by the pine beetle, but there still enough trees to feel someway secluded. The grass area beside the lake is great for romping in and also have picnic tables. They have a large roped off area for swimming. The lake is large enough to explore via kayaks, canoes. They have a good size pier and a small area reserved for dogs. The washrooms are clean.
Lac le Jeune has always been a great getaway, close to Kamloops. However, since the pine beetle hit a couple of years ago, most of the trees in the park have been wiped out leaving little shade. Still a great campground with paved roads for the kids to ride bikes, playground, picnic area, large boardwalk on the water, and more.
