We walked this trail almost every day that we were in Kapaa. It starts at the Baby beach and goes through Kapaa, past burial grounds and the pineapple dump but never leaves the ocean.
We rented our bicycles from Hele on Kauai Bike Rentals. This beach path is awesome! It begins in the heart of Kappa, as you ride north the high country becomes more prevalent. The trail runs along the Kappa "Coconut coast"-Very scenic, serene and the further you ride (about 4 miles north) there are some great secluded beaches, so bring your back pack and plan for the day. I recommend 4-6 hours to take your time. 2 hours was not enough to linger at various beaches and trails we discovered along the way. Beautiful!
I walk this trail almost every day this beach path its awesome and easy,it's start in Baby beach (Waipouli beach park or Fuji beach)and goes trough Kapa'a,there's some great secluded beaches, some of the most beautiful beaches
Rent bikes and ride this path every trip to Kauai. It's good exercise, some uphill, but not too hard. You feel the breeze in your hair, the spray of ocean at times as well as a little bit of history. View some of the most beautiful beaches just north of Kapaa.
We rented bikes from a bike rental near Ono Restaurant for a good price. The bike trail started about a block away. The trail was about 3 miles, paved and in good condition, mainly level, with scenic ocean views for most of it. It ran behind Kapaa's main road but was a different world. There was a restroom along the way and an area to stop and savor the view. We were glad that we took this nice scenic ride to enjoy the scenery.
We biked the entire path from the beginning to the end and truly enjoyed this magnificent path. What a lovely way to spend time in Kapaa. There are a number of places where you can stop for a break or to admire the magnificent views that this path offers. Would recommend to anyone that wants to spend quality time by the ocean and do a bit of exercice at the same time.
you can easily access it from most hotels. It's well cared for and there is more than one good place for beach access. And of course beautiful views all along the way - very nice
A three to four mile bike ride with spectacular ocean views. We rode our bikes to the end then swam at Kealia Beach. We rented the bikes for 3 hours which was just about right. The best $20 (for 2 bikes for 3 hours) we spent on Kauai.
Great half-day activity in Kapaa with gorgeous views and a nice easy bike path. Bike out to Kealia beach, Donkey Beach and beyond! You never know what you might see - in our case a pod of dolphins swimming right off the coast, and on the way back, a monk seal snoozing on the sand near Baby Beach.
This is a nice paved path along the ocean. We found it pleasant to walk in the morning to watch the sunrise, and in the evening to take in the views. It is used by tourists and locals (many with their dogs) for walking, jogging and bike riding. It is interesting that this is the #2 attraction in Kapa'a and the Kauai Path is #1. This path is the portion of the Kauai Path that has been built on the East side of the island - so this is actually #1 and #2.
