This is one of my favorite things to do in Coeur d'Alene. The hike is pretty easy but gives you great views of the lake and back toward the resorts. If you time it right, you can see the pontoon plane take off from the beginning of the hike. A few turn-offs have secluded beaches for swimming in the summer. Nicely shaded for most of the way, tons of dogs out both times we were there. Also looks like an excellent path for trail running. Make a point to do this if you're in Coeur d'Alene - pack a picnic and get out in nature. You can park for free the first two hours in the lot adjacent the park at the trailhead.
Right downtown! This place is so secrene and a great place to escape. the trails are pretty easy and family friendly and your four legged friends are welcome. as you hike you are going to come across some extremely beautiful photo opps. To come to Coeur D' Alene and miss this would be a shame
Awsome view of lake Coeur d'Alene. Lots of scenic spots along the trail. Good hiking shoes or boots recommend. About two miles long.
When you are visiting the Couer d'Alene Resort be sure to add this hike to the visit. You can walk as far as you want but the views are amazing! You can watch the local kids dive off the rocks and it's the perfect place to watch the sunsets.
Tubbs Hill is absolutely every local's favorite go-to spot for summer fun. I have enjoyed coming to Tubbs Hill for years and don't think I will ever grow old of it. From the beautiful relaxed hiking trails where you can always find smiling faces and friendly people, the multiple spots for cliff jumping and the beaches that aren't usually too crowded, Tubbs Hill is my favorite.
Great place to hike around and see the views, get some exercise etc. Needs better signage though. We didn't start at a parking area, but at the end of a residential street. It was fun getting back to that spot! Had a great time though! Will take a map next time. Highly recommend it!
Great stress reducer, beautiful view, good any time of year. Next to downtown, and the boardwalk. Tubs adjacent to excellent city park.
can be crowded at times. but nice view of lake. fun to swim at in the summer. pick up your trash and doggie doos.
We have made this a new Thanksgiving Day tradition. We take the dogs and hike around Tubbs hill. It is not crowded and the views are awesome.
While staying at the resort, we decided to hike Tubbs Hill. The views were amazing and the hike definitely was a great workout with options of steeper vs less steep trails. The trails were nicely marked.
