Amazing collection of artifacts. Wish we had more time to spend reading through it all and educating our son.
This museum was very educational and interesting. Inlearned alot about the different indian tribes on what they wore and how they survived.
Really impressive private collection of American Indian artefacts, some quite rare. The only thing we didn't like were that the 'souvenirs' available were made in China or India!
This museum rivals exhibits in major cities. It is well laid out and quite an extensive collection of all areas of Native American artifacts. Well informed attendants were friendly and cheerful.
The museum is full of artifacts and information about the native people that have been in the area over the centuries. This was so well put together. I could have spent more time reading more - but I had a 10 year old that was getting bored - and headed back to the gift shop. They have beautiful jewelry to purchase and other healing items and more. I would say - don't miss it if you have the time.
This is located at Trees of Mystery, if your tired of tree stomping and need to feed your brain, go see this awesome collection of Native American artifacts.
I love walking around museums, and this did not disappoint. The collection of daily and ritual items on display is quite impressive. The museum is actually a side-room of the gift shop for the "Trees of Mystery", so you may not know what you've wandered into! But, once inside, take your time looking around, and leave a donation since the museum is free.
We mostly stopped at Trees of Mystery to say "hi" to Paul Bunyan and to pick up some fudge for a treat. The real treat was the museum-- who would have thought that such extensive displays would be inside a roadside souvenir shop. The various styles of Native American dress, papooses, arrowheads, baskets was simply amazing.
We almost by-passed this museum, because it is located on the premises of the gimmicky Trees of Mystery, and you have to walk through a gift shop to enter. HOWEVER, we found it to be filled with truly beautiful artifacts from indigenous local cultures and helpful information to enjoy them. The staff clearly took pride in the place, as well they should.
Wonderful assortment of Indian artifacts,we could have stayed all day. The largest collection in the world
