They only have about 300 rooms but the rooms are nice. And the two restaurants they have are great Saltgrass and bubba gumps. And they have Starbucks too
It was small which I like but the restrooms were not plentiful. The table play was good with lots of options. The slots were the same as any casino. The ambiance was pleasing.
Golden Nugget was our hotel for a 5 night stay in Laughlin. The rooms were clean and smelled it, beds were comfortable. The room service did a nice job tidying up daily and the amenities provided for bathing were good quality. The only things I thought that could be improved - coffee - they have keurig machines in the room, nice and convenient but would prefer a regular pot of coffee. One cup is not enough for me. They only give you one cup each regular and decaf and me and hubby had to share, and iyd pretty lousy coffee. Bring your own kcups. Also, no little fridge in room so we couldn't buy cream for coffee or snacks for breakfast. There was also no room safe, which on my many trips to USA have never ever seen before. Had to store our passports in a safe deposit box at main desk, which was fine but inconvenient. The hotel itself had a great clean warm pool, and a nice hot roomy hot tub. It was not bad smoke wise - the smokers areas were a little more controlled than the other casinos, which is nice for us non smokers. Overall, would recommend it and stay again.
My wife and I love walking into this place. The décor in the front lobby is a sight to behold. The casino is nice. It's clean and the staff was friendly Very comfortable place to play.
Stopped upstairs in the casino after a great meal at Bubba Gump. The Sports Book is small and not very comfortable. The slot machine area has dim lighting and less than average air quality. Entering through the beautiful lobby reminded me of the Las Vegas Nugget, but the similarity ended there.
I loved the room, the view and all the ameneties. But the floor I was on had a very nasty sewer smell. No matter what room or floor we were on, it stunk. So we opened the windows and it took it away about 50% and the maintenance came and left us a candle and a bottle of febreze which helped a lot. The casino was great and so was the night club. The restraunts were awesome. We ate at Jump claimer and Bubba Gump Srimp and also got early morning coffee at starbucks The check in process was very easy, the rate was awesome. I booked it online. But most of all the rooms were sooooo nice and beautiful with a flat screen and nice decor and the tables and end tables were really upgraded and nice. The only thing bad was the smell.
This place has good comps! love playing Craps there! excellent bar service! Great dealers that are friendly and helpful! nice atmosphere!
Well, our other SSR members stayed at the Edgewater and the Colorado Belle and we got the better hotel room at the Golden Nugget. Spacious and clean, we even had a Keurig coffee machine. Sadly as with other casino hotels, no refrigerator. But we did have free wifi. Would recommend and we would stay there again.
We have stayed here in the past and always take a chance on the room noise. The hotel is very nice but the construction is inadequate. There is no soundproofing, especially in the ceilings. Views are beautiful from the west wing, overlooking the river. Great pool and sundeck. Various restaurants to choose from.
Visited last trip to Vegas on a side trip here. First time in town, stopped to sample their slots. Decent choices in an old time Vegas atmosphere. Drink service was a smidgen slow, but sufficed. One drawback was that entry was open-air and was quite warm inside the casino while playing. Had a decent time, just nothing noteworthy. Would return when in town again. We enjoyed the town's laid-back atmosphere. It was quaint. A break from the glitz of Vegas. Harrahs and Edgewater were livelier and more invigorating, but don't rule this one out if you're nearby..
