We went here for a wedding, which was perfectly executed by Rockmill staff. The beers are absolutely delicious, the food was outstanding, the scenery gorgeous. Everything about it was wonderful.
We visit Rockmill Brewery frequently and love the staff, especially Judy. She's a great hostess. Our daughter was married at the chapel this weekend and Judy had everything prepared for the reception. It looked absolutely beautiful! I'm not a beer drinker but I love the atmosphere. You can bring your food, find a private room and enjoy making memories with family or friends; or, you can sit at the bar and make new friends! My husband is a beer connoisseur and he loves Rockmill beer!
So close to Columbus, it's an easy picnic day trip choice. Beautiful setting next to an historic covered bridge and grist mill that overlook a waterfall. The beer is one-of-a-kind and the staff is attentive and knowledgeable. It's a great place to meet fellow day trippers and travelers as well as locals--including the several cats and dogs in residence.
As I write this about this place I don't want the word getting out change the experience of this place. My sister took my husband and I to this place. We arrived first. We went on in and to our wondering eyes we found lovely fireplaces burning, lovely sitting areas, a cool bar and then we on into large sitting area and out the French doors is a pond with a stream beyond that. Amazing views. You can bring in your own food and snacks. My sister brought a nice little picnic. We did a sampler and enjoyed the fire and beer. I'm not big on craft beers but I tried them all and loved loved loved two of them!! All of them are very good. The beer is bottled in almost like wine bottles and kind of pricey. That didn't keep me from purchasing a glass of favorite and a bottle of my favorite. I think it's worth the money. We loved the beer and the experience and atmosphere. Check their web site for hours and give it try.
Exceptional beer!! Exceptional people!!! Beautiful setting inside and out! Pack a lunch or some snacks and go enjoy this small batch craft brew immediately! The owners are awesome people! We will definitely be back!
Nice old farm with a great craft brew. Did the beer flight. 5 samples of what they brew. Then took a walk/hike around the property. Great place to bring a picnic. Also don't skip out on the hiking trail in the woods, take off the shoes and go for a walk in the creek.
This cute little farmhouse/barn tucked back in the hills of Lancaster Ohio offers a wonderful experience for all beer enthusiasts. Bring a picnic because they have little food to offer, but all 5 beers brewed locally are excellent, well crafted, and the brewmaster takes great care to make sure you enjoy yourself. All the staff is so friendly and offer all they can to make sure your experience is enjoyable. We tried all the beers, walked through the entire property, and ended up spending all afternoon. This is a must see if you find yourself in the area, or worth making the trip just in itself.
Located on a beautiful old horse farm with rolling hills, a creek, and a pond. The tasting room is a large repurposed barn that feels more like a comfortable house than a place of business. There are many different seating areas to choose from. Two lofts, a den with a fireplace and TV, a bar with a huge high top table, a large living room with multiple seating areas, and a well appointed kitchen. Outside there's a two tiered patio. The lower area has a fire pit. Everything is new and tasteful. They currently have 5 beers to choose from. We tried the flight of all 5 then picked our favorites. They only sell beer. They encourage you to bring your own food and other beverages in and there were several families with small children making a day of it in that way. The beer is all Belgian style because the water on the farm matches the minerals found in Belgium. The owner gave us a nice tour of the brew house and explained a good deal of the process. It was an enjoyable afternoon and we will be back.
This place rocks! Stopped here after a day of hiking in Hocking Hills, and was totally enamored with the beer, the beautiful setting, and the service. All the flights we tried were great, and the setting was just gorgeous! We'll be back for sure!
My mother-in-law suggested visiting Rockmill the last time my husband & I were in town, and I'm so glad we took the ride out! It's nestled in the Rockmill area just past the covered bridge. Lovely surroundings, and an outside seating area is available that overlooks a large pond. The interior is warm and inviting... my husband said he felt like he was stepping into Hansel & Gretal's home! The beer was delicious- the Witbier was my favorite. One suggestion- make sure to bring snacks/food with you. We would loved to have stuck around for another drink- next time we'll be prepared!
