We spent a night at the hotel - excellent. However the buffet is not worth it at all. No variety, plastic glasses, no one to get wine or beer if you want it. We had a promotional coupon but even with that the price was expensive. We could not use the seniors discount as we already had a certificate. Basically we saved the taxes. By the way, I have read other reviews on the buffet. Does anyone even bother to respond??? I wonder if the management bothers to read them. NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL. Fortunately there are plenty of restaurants in Langley and we shall certainly be using them in future. Too bad. The buffet used to be good. Also the A la carte menu has gone - so no choice. I realize you are trying to save money AND IT SHOWS.
Sometimes after having a nice dinner at the match eatery which is attached to this casino, my partner and i venture into the casino for a few rounds of roulette and are usually quite entertained.
They went smoke free a few years ago and doubled their business; Others should take a hint. One member card good in all BC. Machines had plenty of play, we actually came out slightly ahead.
It;s a casino!! Does anyone ever win? Sure maybe a couple of bucks here and there, just to keep you interested. However, other than the slots etc etc, the food here is terrible. Do not make a date to frequent the buffer. Sunday brunch is the worst. Yes it is cheap in price, but man o man, you get what you pay for. YUKK!!!!
I visited the Cascades Casino in September. It was okay but I didn't win any money! Maybe next time. There was some construction going on.
Our quarterly birthdays celebration took place at the new restaurant Match at Cascades Casino. The ten of us had six different entree choices and four appie choices. A first visit for us all and almost all had very good opinions for their selections. One fail was the salmon burger entree. Looked great but the salmon was Cold! I enjoyed the crab Mac and cheese! So good and creamy and loads of crab! Served with garlic toast. VERY rich. Perhaps a veggie side would balance the dish? Overall very good with excellent service. The salmon was replaced and removed from the bill.
Great new restaurant at the casino, not before time. We eat at the new Match restaurant regularly now and find the food good and prices ok. It makes for a fun evening when combined with the casino offerings.
Same type of food as before with no increase in the amount of variety. Food quality was barely okay. Want a cheap place to eat with mediocre food then this is the place.
We went to the buffet for my son's birthday, and so he could play his usual $20.00. I agree with other reviewers on this one, the buffet was terrible. Food had little flavour, not a great selection, the ice cream machine was down, and it all was so very limited. Not even mashed potatoes! No potatoes actually..The casino was just that...I would advise to eat at Fraser Downs in Cloverdale when they have the buffets on the race days....
Last night out before going back to work so off we headed to the casino. We normally go to the Hard Rock in Coquitlam but for a change we went to Langley. The casino was not too full and is a good size so there are lost pf slots and tables to play at.When we got there around 8:30 we wanted to get some food. There are 2 places to eat a buffet and a sports bar. The bar was packed as there was a fight on the TV's. So we headed to the buffet. There was basically no one there. So we gambled until 10 when the bar was supposed to empty out after the fight ended. So back to the bar at 10. It was slow to empty but after about 10 min we got a table. Service and people were good. I ordered some pasta for $14 instead of the buffet for $18 hoping it would fill me up... well that was a joke it was like a child's portion. Ok I know we all need to eat proper portions but it was a cereal bowl size. When i went hope i had to eat again. The 4 stars is more for the casino eat before coming here!
