Went to see santa today at Carnfunnock with my husband, daughter aged 11 and son aged 3. Had a lovely time. We arrived at 11.55 and the santa train started promptly at 12.00pm, we were second in the cue. Santa was lovely, took time to speak to each family and for photos to be taken, not rushed at all. Children were given 2 good presents and we received two framed photos. The photos turned out lovely. Santa jumped about and waved goodbye as the miniature train left. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and thought it was very good value for money. Will definitely return again next year.
Fabulous country park set on the glorious Antrim Coast Road. There are activities for all ages including a fabulous play park, crazy golf , camping and picnic area. Various activities on throughout the year well worth a visit.
We have had many nice afternoons here the park is great also has basket swings and other swings suitable for children in wheelchairs beautiful walks plenty to see and do
skye [my dog ] and I walk around the park nearly every day. the santa train is running for the kids ITS been very mild these last few months, all the hedges have had a trim. there is a great view over looking ballygalley with a nice summer seat
Great place with something for everyone. From the toddler wanting an exciting playground to something for the teenager and of course something for mum or dad! Adventure playground, walled garden, maze, walks, visitor center, golf, rides, cafe etc etc great place!Well worth a visit!!
I have been to Carnfunnock a lot .. but when I was a lot younger! I was amazed when I visited today at the changes. Now it is my son playing in the park not me! There has been so much investment in it. It contains a walled garden, maze, activity centre and one of the best playgrounds in the country. We were visiting on a mild winter day but we have this down already for a visit when the sun comes out! Impressive!
Fantastic family fun, plenty to do, great staff and FREE (shame about the weather)! We visited this on Sat 1st Nov for the main Halloween event and we had a great time. We thought we needed to write a review with particular focus on the efforts and attention of the staff and volunteers. The weather was horrendous and they did not at any point complain, they were great and could not have done enough for everyone there. I can't believe this event is FREE! We attended a very different event a few weeks later and paid £10 a head and it was just a massive disappointment. Well done to everyone involved in Larne Alive - we loved it!
Always a great place to stay with the caravan. Lots to do and quiet at night. It is very well secured so no need to worry when you go out for the day and leave your caravan or tent.
I think that a lot of people from Larne will have visited the Country Park no matter what you are trying to do whether it is walking the dog, the golf driving range, activities for the kids etc. There is so much to do. As a teacher in a local school we also take our children to the park to take part in the Maths trail in the walled garden and surrounding area. A lovely place to visit and well worth the trip to the top of the hill to see the view over Larne. The maze is also a lot of fun in the summer months.
superb views, great walks and one of the best around for the kids - get there early, always packed, even in the rain!Café service awful
