Fantastic views over much of the valley below. It was a hot day when we arrived so not able to stay too long but we took heaps of photos. Great to see the work that has been done with the updated boardwalk & rails making it very safe for all the family.
It's a surprise drive to deep road but when get to the place. Finding beautiful & peaceful view. Full with endless outlook. Fresh air, good spot for family picnic or for couple romantic lookout.
Saw a photo of this in the Lithgow brochure and decided to give it a visit. A couple of klms out of the town. No problem to find. The road up was pretty bad, just dirt, but the view at the end was absolutely worth it. We were the only people up there. The viewing platform was flat and no problem for a wheelchair. A real find.
We did not realise that Lithgow had so much to offer! Hassans Wall Lookout was a great find. The road is gravel but it's not bad. A little dirt never hurt anyone! The viewing platform and walkway is great as it allows disabled people to view with ease. The valley below and the mountain escarpments are a sight to behold. No crowds to fight through to get a good view
The lookout is simply wonderful..on a bright sunny day we visited this place...I felt this is a heavenly lookout on earth....
The walls that travellers are used to seeing towering over the GWH as they come into or depart Lithgow can now be truly appreciated from a wheel chair friendly board walk. You just have to negotiate a dirt road for a couple of kms to enjoy it!
Surprised to find a lovely new walkway when we visited yesterday, this will allow people with disabilities to access this wonderful view. We have taken quite a few people to visit this sight and it never fails to delight, views are fantastic and the natural Rock formations spectacular, well done to Lithgow Council for making this attraction so accessable to all.
Not often do we get to congratulate the Local Council but we sure have to this time. They have transformed a near derelict lookout into a first class tourist attraction. The views have always been outstanding and now you get to enjoy them with ease as this new boardwalk is suitable for everyone, even if you have a disability or just struggle to walk short distances.Yes there are still about 3 kilometres of dirt road to get there but not in bad condition so a standard motor car will get you there and back not problems at all.Take the time to get to Hassans Walls Lookout and you will be surprised, you may even reward yourself with some great photographic memories.
We had never heard of Hassan's Wall Lookout until we arrived in Lithgow and took the drive up the dirt road to visit this place. You don't have to walk very far and it certainly is easy for the disabled to see this magnificent view. There is what I presume may have been the old lookout where you climb over rocks and through a rock entrance ending up inside a sort of cave lookout. Sadly some people have vandalised with spray paint but the view is good - I don't understand why the need to scrawl your name on things. We climbed through the opening to the cave and again another great perspective over the country below. Not many people there so that was also a plus for us when taking photographs. Definitely worth the drive up.
What a beautiful part of the country. We drove up there yesterday on a small 4wd trek around the area and came across this place. Not the best light for photography while we were there, however it was peaceful and a great place to just take it all in. Although it's a dirt track, the condition of the track at the moment would allow for any vehicle to get there easily There is also a little covered area to sit and have a picnic in front of the viewing platform.
