Something for everyone, snow park, easy off piste, beautifully groomed wide pistes, good mountain restaurants. What more could you want?
Livigno has beginners slopes easily accessible , but also many ski areas / slopes/ linked slopes for lower intermediate, advanced intermediate, and advanced skieers, so you should pick which section of Livigno slopes you access depending on your skiing ability. Research the piste map !Mottolino Fun Mountain is in one corner of Livigno, caters mostly for intermediate skieers/snowboarders, but also has some easier runs and some more diffcult runs. I cant really comment on the fun parks as these are beyond my ability but there are several jump/ramp parks on the top of the mountain as well as a jump (into a huge airbag) at the bottom of the lift. There is a huge restaurant at the top that also seems to have room no matter the hundreds of hungry and thirsty skieers pouring in and out.The part I really like is that the mountain appears to be managed as an integrated unit, to give skiiers and boarders the best overall experience. Lifts, links to other runs, restaurants, lessons, equipment hire. It has everything. They really want you to have fun.
This is not for blue run skiers. It is definitely more for red as the start is steep and the road can be challenging for beginners but a lovely change and good restaurant.
The red run from the top of the Mottolino lift to the base is my favorite run in Livigno, I always have the biggest grin when I get to the bottom, and if my legs aren't burning the i have not tried hard enough, and I don't get to have a beer
The best ski area for me.A lot of ski slopes, good condition and snow proof all the ski season. They have blue red and black slopes.
Wonderful place for fun and skiing. Great location on the sunny side. Skiing until late afternoon. The trails are well groomed. has a service for all types of skiers, blue, red and black. At the top there is an excellent restaurant with good food, sweets, coffee and alcohol. Every moment is a present music that helps a good mood.Who enjoy skiing will love this place!Great slopes, very well maintained, lot of space.
We return every year with the family to Livigno! The skiing is great for a family and then the tax-free shopping on top of that!Mottolino is the family favorite. Here we spend the days, with a good lunch at Camanel, enjoying a grilled chicken and some local 1816 beer, After a couple of beer you might find yourself up and dancing on the tables with your kids, to the load music. Some more skiing in the afternoon, rounding off with an off-pist run under the gondola. Then you ski into one of the best after ski places in the world at the bottom of the gondola Tea Del Vidal! Party Time!
Just amazing ski resort. And the best freeride in my whole life. Best view from there. The snow on this side of Livigno was everytime the best for slope alpine skiing or freeride at every weather.
I loveeeed Mottolino ski area, my favourite in livigno by far! There are slopes for everyone, from pro to beginners. The gondola is not very comfortable though but I didn't mind since the ride down was very nice. There is a restaurant on the slopes with a lovely balcony. On a sunny day it's very pleasant to sit outside, the view is amazing and you can even see the snowpark. There are also some freeride opportunities that looked amazing, but since i'm only intermediate and the weather was not very nice I didn't dare to try them.
Good: interesting slopes. A big free garage under Teola lift.Bad: slopes get sunny afternoon. Slope are not very long.
