This was one of the few boat trips available on Paxos. The day I went the sea on the western side was very rough (2 people were seasick), the boat tossing up and down with spray coming off the waves. So we were not able to go into the caves or near to the cliffs. The itinerary was slightly changed to cater for the conditions, so instead of landing on Antipaxos we stopped at the sandy beach of Monogissi, where there was a taverna and a small bar. Before returning to Loggos we stopped in a bay nearby and glasses of Ouzo were handed round, making a party atmosphere. The trip was excellent value and a good day out.
We decided to spend our last day on Paxos taking the round the island trip on Lefcothea. It was a fascinating trip with beautiful views and three stops for swimming including there hours on Anti Paxos for lunch, sunbathing and another swim. It was a laid back trip - not too crowded with a good young man in charge. I would recommend this as a way to see the west coast of this lovely island
Agree 100% with these reviews! but have you considered hiring your own boat off Panos? You are given a demonstration and instruction manual etc. and they can track you on their sat nav back at base, if you have an emergency you just press a button and they will ring you. We have been on Lefkothea and loved it but so much more fun to pack a picnic and go at your own pace and just go into a cove and overboard for a swim when you feel like it. Last week we even went as far as AntiPaxos by ourselves, you are given lots of advice re. Wind direction, swell etc. all v.professional and reasonable too. Returned yesterday and already missing it, can't wait to go back, azure water like no other. Various tavernas all offer free sun beds and parasols should you venture ashore for a coffee, loved every minute of it. Give it a go, you wont be disappointed.
Wonderful day out, definitely worth every penny! Going around the island is a great experience along with the swim stops. Very friendly and welcoming crew, would definitely recommend to any Paxos visitors. Lovely way to spend the day, including getting to spend time on the beautiful island of Antipaxos.
amazing place, for people who want to enjoy tranquility ! highly sugest to visit, you can get ther from Corfu by boat
The boat wasn't to full on the day we went, so we had plenty of room to move round .It was a lovely sunny day so we got to see the blue caves. It was a wonderful way to see the island .We enjoyed the swim stops and the time we spent at Antipaxos. The skipper and young lad were really friendly and explained the places as we were visiting them.No lunch is provided so you either have to take a picnic with you , or buy your lunch at the Tavern at Antipaxos.
What should we say about our wonderful day with Lefkothea boat? The day started in Loggos where we got to the boat. We spent a whole day with the fantastic friendly crew, stopping for swimming along the blue caves around the island. We were all the time safe by admiring the art of nature...The crew gave us information about all the sightseeings that we wanted to know and offered us refreshments during the day. Then we stayed at the Anti-Paxos for lunch and ouzo for about 2 hours - the White Sand beach was the best experience ever! We believe that is one of the best ways to spend a day or more of your holidays, we will never forget the moments on the Lefcothea boat ! Definitely we will try it again!Dimi-Rania
We spent the whole day from 10:15 to 16:30, from Loggos to Antipaxos and around Paxos. We found the trip to be perfect in terms of duration and number activeties. We enjoyed diving in the blue caves, and snorkling in Antipaxos. The boat is the perfect size, not too crowded, and not too small. Some of the other boats on the island was looking a bit shabby, but this was in good condition and clean. Also a big thanks to the frendly crew, making this the best experience so far..
Really enjoyed the trip around Paxos and to Anti Paxos on the Lefcothea. This was a great way to see the scenery on the west coast and get right up close to the blue caves where you have the opportunity to jump right off the boat for a swim. Good value for money too.
After watching a couple receive half an hour's tuition on hiring a small boat we decided to go on this boat trip instead it was brilliant . Jumping off the boat and snorkelling in the turquoise waters made me feel positively like Jack Cousteau . The scenery was stunning and I felt the overall trip was extremely good value for money. The one thing that might have improved the trip a little bit would have been a bit more of a commentary pointing out what we were looking at. However that's a very minor criticism .
