Myself and 3 girlfriends went whitewater rafting at Wildwater in Chattooga as a 10 year high school reunion trip and we can't wait to go back! We stayed on-site in a cottage where a full kitchen is stocked with all cookware. There is a hot shower and it sleeps 4. A grill, fire pit and patio table are all there too. Bring food- there is a General Store that is a 5 minute drive from the cottages, but it is pretty basic (It does have beer and wine). As for rafting- our guides made our trip!! Of course the river is beautiful as well as the surrounding forest, but incredible guides really made the experience unforgettable! We started with a mini trip since 3 of us had never been rafting. Mia and Katie navigated the river flawlessly while keeping us laughing the whole way. The snack is delicious- celery, apples, oranges, hummus, peanut butter, jelly and more. The next day we took the full day trip and Mia was our guide again. It was cold, but they provided wet suits and jackets. The full day was even more exhilarating! More drops, more rapids and a full lunch that had all the snack stuff plus sandwiches- multiple kinds of meat, bread and all the toppings. Mia was amazing again! She is so knowledgeable about the river and the surrounding area, Mia really made us want to go back- and we will!
This was on our bucket list. We had an awesome day thanks to the extent staff. And a special thanks to Asia, our guide. She made it a day to remember always.
We had a wonderful time doing the zip line. We loved our guides Nate and Danny. They were very professional. Safety was very important to them. However they were also a lot of fun. They made it a great experience. Everyone loved it! Great facilities and great value.
As a first time rafter, accompanied by a friend who had rafted in Alaska years before, I can say that we can't wait to do it again! The attitude, joyfulness and impressive attention to safety from the 5 raft leaders in our group made this an exciting and beautiful adventure.I am thrilled that we chose Wildwater Rafting as our guides.
Small rental cottage with nice amenities, guides on river were great, Wifi only at outpost, would have liked a place to eat or small store w/food since it was far from town. Would definitely go back again
I took my son, age 24, and my grandson, age 13, last weekend and we had a great experience. The fall foliage was spectacular and the weather was perfect. Our guides were very competent and personable and got us all trained and up into the trees as pleasantly as possible. I would recommend this adventure to anyone looking to spend some time outside in a little more challenging way than simply hiking.
My wife and I reserved a great trip with Amy and Olivia. They were excellent teachers and joy to zip line with. Wildwaters has a good location for zip lining especially with the +1,000 foot line and about twelve other lines across lakes and through the woods. Would highly recommend them. Was neat to see the Yurts they have for guest to stay.
They were very polite and professional made me and my wife safe and comfortable awesome experience!!!
We did a full day rafting on the Chattooga, then stayed the night in the Earl's Ford cabin, and did a canopy tour to round out a very adventure filled weekend. The staff was super nice and very safety oriented. I loved how the staff all treated my 11-year-old like everyone else but kept an extra eye on him. The excellent photos are definitely worth getting! The cabin was very clean and extremely convenient. Can't say enough great things- Very Highly Recommended!
We had a great time rafting with the crew from Wildwater. We did the hardest/longest rafting tour and had a blast. Expert guides who were very safety conscience and FUN. Will definitely be back and we plan to stay on property next time.
