We have had several good experiences over the years at this tasting room and this visit was no exception. The excellent staff permitted us to deviate a bit from the published tasting program and we appreciated that.We enjoy their wines, particularly the Rodney Syrah and look forward to opening those we purchased.
A beautiful winery and very nice landscaping and the wine tasting was very good. The people working at the winery were very friendly and made you feel right at home, the next time we are in the area we will be going back to try some nmore great wines.
Far from the crowded wineries of the north, this is a great place to go and buy a bottle or two and enjoy it outside. We were lucky enough to go on a Saturday when they had a band playing and a gourmet food truck. Sure beats the crowded north and the wines were excellent.
The grounds that the winery/tasting room are on, are large & impressive. We enjoyed learning the history of the owner. What made it was the lady that we had for our tasting. She was so bubbly & so entertaining, how would you not sign up for the wine club- so we had to.What a fun place & the wines were the best of the day. Can't wait to go back.
Well... Wine tasting costs 12$, the ladies managing the wine tasting are very nice but not wine experts at all, they even serve two different red wines in the same glass. I finally bought the best bottle - a pinot noir costing 56$ - which is not worth at all. California still far away from France in terms of wine culture.
Great winery, wine and grounds. My wife and I have been a wine club member for over 10 years. Whenever we get invited over to anyone's house they want us to bring FESS PARKER WINE. I think that is why we get invited. We visit many wineries, this continues to be our favorite year after year. The winery is in a beautiful valley. The wines (all the wines) are my favorite and seem to be all our friends favorite also. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, they have become like family. I wish we lived closer (We live in Colorado), or we would stop in all the time instead of once or twice a year. If you are in the area make sure you stop in.Added bonus: Very fun to see the "Davy Crockett" and "Daniel Boone" connection and memorabilia. To sum it up - GREAT WINE, GREAT STAFF, GREAT LOCATION.
One of my all time favorite wineries!Beautiful grounds and great wines. Fess is always a stop when I visit the valley for wine tasting. This is a great spot for a picnic and is usually our lunch stop when we pack food for the day. There are outside seating areas and vast areas to spread a picnic blanket!
We are fans of Fess Parker wines and were pleased to be able to get to their winery. Magnificent location, great variety of wines, friendly staff. Great spot for a picnic or a wedding. Too bad there's no food available to make the visit perfect.
Some of the wines are good, but overpriced. The servers always seem like they are doing you a big favor pouring their wine. Tasting fee is $12, Nicely landscaped grounds. Nice tasting room.
If you want a peaceful afternnon and wine tasting, buy a gourmet sandwich in town or bring a pinic, and visit Fess Parker Winery. If you like to be outdoors with a glass of wine and a bit to eat, spread your blanket out on the beautiful parlike surroundings, grab an outdoor table, or one of the seating arrangements facing the beautiful grounds and enjoy a wonerdful afternnon with family or friends. You can buy a bottle, or a wine tasting. to enjoy inside or outside. I joined the wine club and got a discount on a beautiful bottle of "The Big Easy". You will love the friendly feeling from the lovely setting, and emplyees. Kids and Dogs love it too!
