We went in September and it was a very nice experience. It quenches the curiosity factor and allows for quiet contemplation as well. We thoroughly enjoyed it.
Great tour in very beautiful caves. HIghlight was the Summer Solstice . Tour guide entertaining and very pleasant. Would recommend
AN excellent place to stop over and get a quick adventure in for the family. Make sure you take the Mozzie spray!! OMG that were bad. Staff are friendly. Was a very quiet place to stay with beautiful sky views in pitch black.
Nice place to visit, way to hot in summer though. Inside the caves n the cathedral was amazing but I think you've seen it once you wouldn't go back for a while.. My family swam in the pool n all ended up sick.
We traveled there in our holiday at Yeppoon, was a quite warm day in January, so we decided to visit this caves to get some impressions if they are same line as we know from Germany? We've been late so we checked in for the last tour, we got our private guided tour!! It was impressive! When you know the bottom of the accessible cave is only 5 meter under car park level and you have this constantly cool temperature. I think it was Linda a very professional and knowledgeable guide!! Very recommendable!!
... and a great tour! It was special to have the chance to walk through these sandstone caves. The tour is informative and interesting, also for kids. The caves are located a 30-min-drive north of Rockhampton and doable in an easy half-day trip.
Beautiful dry cave system presented by a very knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide. Well worth the visit.
The tour guide was knowledgeable and enthusiastic, and the access around the caves was very good considering its a cave. My girlfriend is an amputee and managed to get around easily enough, although there are some very slippery bits to watch out for. The cathedral was the highlight and the gift shop we found to be one of the best we went to in Australia. Highly Recommended for a visit if your in the area.
It was nice to see the caves. Looking great and a nice light show to bring forward the best parts. The only down part is that you could only enter by guided tour. The tour takes a long time, about 1,5 hours, to see the caves. We would have preferred an unguided tour, at your own speed. As there is not that much to see in these caves. But is was informative and a nice tour guide. Luckily he told me near the end of the tour about all the huge spiders in there.....
