Terrible parking management. Four of us were really looking forward to Fleetwood Mac Concert. We left restaurant two miles away at 7:30 p.m., sat in traffic until past 8:30, when our driver let the other three of us out near the arena. He waited in the long traffic lines with no clue that he would ultimately be sent to an office parking lot 1.5 miles away. He finally parked after 9:30, only to find a long shuttle line. He realized by the time he'd make it to the arena the concert would be about over, (and then we'd all have to wait for shuttle back to car) so he texted his wife to let her know that he'd grabbed a cup of coffee and would pick us up after it was over. Ruined the evening for all of us, but especially him!
This is a nice place to visit, especially over the weekend. Though, i didn't visit many times but very nice place for kids to spend their weekend time.
Nice location. Parking sometimes expensive. You can try parking across the lot at Target, but if you get caught... I don't think it's worth it though. Just pay it. The box office is also directly across the street from the arena. Will help save on some of the ticket fees if you purchase from them directly.
As stated by other reviews here especially "jimsim2015" , I would also add this event was a disgrace to the city and an affront to the hundreds of people that thought leaving an hour for traveling less than 5 miles and parking for this event would suffice. I have lived in Chicago suburbs '93-'99 and nothing has changed with the traffic situation except it's worse now. The total disorganization displayed by the Allstate Arena management and local police was a disaster. After sitting in traffic for 90 mins we were also parked almost a mile from the venue and had to traverse construction areas with little or no lighting in 2 degrees temps. When asking a local policeman watching the chaos why this was such a mess, I was advised that "well, there's about 17,000 people with 2 to a car and this place wasn't meant for this type of crowd"....Oh really, then maybe Chicago should get a real venue to handle such an event with public transportation and ample parking..or not host it in the first place. We missed about the first :45 and after paying a fortune for tickets would never think about returning to this dump. The seats were ridiculously small and the ingress/egress of the arena is archaic . God forbid tif here is an emergency there.
I've attended Allstate Arena a number of times, but this is the fourth time I've attended Allstate Arena and had terrible parking problems. We left our restaurant before a Fleetwood Mac concert less than one mile away and 40 minutes before the concert. Their parking chaos forced us to miss 45 minutes of the concert. Without an accident, one mile should never take 90 minutes.Nobody was directing traffic at the most critical intersections, and forced parking at far away lots. Often, even if you're in their paid lot, you get blocked in and must wait for the last concertgoers to leave, and the anarchy that ensues would infuriate anyone. This has happened for years, and they obviously think they can get away with this.
Will never go back f n a holes been to hundreds of shows this was total b s thanks for stealing my money
Saw Fleetwood Mac at Allstate arena. A bit older and smaller venue----but WOW---I would go see them anywhere. Stevie, Lindsay, boys----you are still rocking it AWESOME in your 60's
We went to see Garth & Trisha and loved it. We were a bit concerned about having a second concert right after ours. Much to our surprise the staff was excellent at getting everyone out safely. The concert was also fantastic. We had a great time.
We went to a Chicago Wolves hockey game this month, like we do every winter. The sight lines are very good whether sitting downstairs or upstairs. Unfortunately, the food concession behind the TV cameras has NEVER been open when we've been there. It's inconvenient to have to go downstairs for food. Moreover, the lines for food are awful. We do enjoy going to the Wolves. We just wish the staffing were better.
Traffic was terrible. People were still trying to find their seats 5 songs into the show. The individual performances were pretty good, but alot of the music sounded muddy. The drunk seated in front of us the ruined the experience. Banners hanging in the arena blocked the large screen TVs and every time someone in our row or the row in front of us got up, everyone else had to get up to let them out. Very difficult to get out of parking lot. Cops directing traffic were idiots and so were the other people trying to get out. Thanful we got to see Fleetwood Mac, but will never go to Allstate Arena again. SUCKED!
