Had a nice seasonal flight of some tasty beers. Only complaint is that when we liked some enough to bring home, their selection was pretty slight. Might have been in between shipments. Nice stopover.
New location (they moved three months ago). Busy weekend to visit with Mammoth Arts & Crafts Festival 8/30-8/31. Beer available at Festival but try the tasting room. $5 flight of 2oz beers. Don't miss this wonderful place!
The best thing about the Mammoth Brewing Company is the beer sampling experience. For a very reasonable price one can try nearly all their beers. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. My son and I enjoyed our experience and the large variety of beer, followed up by some root beer!
If you like beer, you'll enjoy sampling the Originals or Seasonal Brews at Mammoth Brewing Company. You can order 2oz. samples individually or in a flight or go for a full glass. The scene is fun with lots of locals and visitors enjoying the vibe. The staff is very knowledgable and you can learn anything you want to know about each brew from them. They're on top of it even when it gets crowded, you feel like you're the only one in the place. I heard they used to serve food but all that's available now is a bowl of pretzels on the bar so if you're hungry sample and then go out to eat.
We have never actually been to the brewery but I have tried and enjoyed many Mammoth brews over the years of visiting the area. Try the Golden Trout! It is AMAZING with pizza! I always drink local wherever I go and I'm rarely disappointed.
The tasting room is basically split into 2 sections: one lets you purchase a sampler and the other will sell you pints or fill your growlers. The Epic IPA is a particularly good example of that style. Bring your own snacks, get a pint and take it to the picnic tables outside where you can watch the people walk by and see the mountains in the distance. What could be better on a nice summer afternoon after a long hike?
Arrived at Happy Hour (in reality, every moment here is happy) and what a treat! Ordered a couple of brews, sat outside, and began to mindbend with the mountains. As moments became minutes and minutes became hours....Since we had nothing but time because Mammoth is timeless, we exchanged breaths with one another and felt really good; like really good!Yesh, nice place for brews and toking... Your senses will become one with the vibe; understand!
Down to earth brewery, no frills. Good value tastings and a nice beer garden outside. No food, though.
The new MBC location is way-way better than their old industrial warehouse site! Huge exposure, right at a high-traffic corner with a view! MBC makes decent beer and they do a good job serving up tastings. My favorite is the Epic IPA. The beer garden area looks pretty good, but a bit barren. Plenty of room inside for tasting and lots of very over-priced merchandise! Looks like they could add another refrigeration case to hold some cold beers to go. Overall, a great improvement from the old place, and you can tell that Mammoth Brewery really "owns the craft beer market" for this area! It's become a tourist destination. The only thing lacking is FOOD! Keep in mind... it is still only a brewery! Food is available by having a food truck strategically parked around the beer garden. Apparently, they have "guest food vendors" in rotation to provide the vittles. This arrangement seems to work!
They recently moved the tasting / sales room to the ground floor of the brewery. It used to be Whiskey Creek restaurant with the brewery being upstairs and tasting / sales over on Berner St. Big fan of their IPAs.
