Not an enormous waterpark, but big enough to have a variety of rides and also small enough to keep track of the kids. Snackbar isn't great, but acceptable junk food.Gets quite crowded on hot days, best to show up early.
You and your kids or grandkids will have a great time at this waterpark. It is enjoyable for the whole family from just floating around to going down the giant slides. There is even parts for really little kids.
We drove 200 miles to get to this place on the 4th of July weekend. Weather was going to be great, hot and humid (perfect for a water park). We stayed in a hotel and went the next day after lunch, noonish. It did rain that morning at 9, and was done before the scheduled opening of 11. When we pulled up to the place there were about eight other cars sitting there (most with parents in the cars on their phones). It was 80 degrees, sunny, zero clouds, hot, humid, and noonish. They were CLOSED FOR THE DAY due to WEATHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!No recording when you called, so zero way of knowing before you got there. And as thier site says, they will continue to check and then open. LIES.I will never waste my time to drive to that place again. Huge disappointment for my kids, me, and a waste of time and money on the drive, hotel, and food.
We go to Raging Rivers once a summer on a hot day. Great way to cool down on the lazy river. But again it's designed for kids. Kids splashing on the LAZY river. It's not called 'The Rapids'! Kids bumping their heads on your butt under the water. Bathrooms are disgusting- eewww! The life guards are more worried about tanning their low bellies in their bikinis than watching the kids. We've been to water parks in CO, SD, and MN and the lifeguards all wear one piece suits and are attentive on the swimmers not their tan lines. The LAZY river in other areas is relaxing without splashing and human enemas. Very disappointed in the small water park that the capital of ND has to offer. :-(
The park is nice, decent size, kids had a blast. Slightly expensive. Small concern...concession stand completely unorganized, apparently run by a bunch of teenagers who can get their thumbs off their smart phones long enough to pay attention to what's going on...but it's food, so whatever. BUT...same goes for the lifeguards. We were there five hours, and I only saw one lifeguard actually make an effort to enforce their "rules", which apparently were meant to be broken. Most of the lifeguards were females working on their tans and hitting on their boyfriends. Even the ones at the tops of the slides couldn't be bothered to get up and help people into their tubes or down the slides. They could barely pay attention long enough to tell you if it was safe to go. So, bottom line...if you are taking small children be prepared to be yelling at a lot of teenagers who are disobeying every posted rule and endangering the smaller kids...cuz the lifeguards just don't care.
This is a nice small waterpark; best for ages 3-12 year olds. The adults had fun; but it was generally for the younger age group. The lazy river was by far the best attraction! The lineups were confusing as the tube was first and then the upper 2 slides (no tube) were higher up; so needs to have some seperation built it to ensure that noone feels like they are budging / being budged in the line-ups. There is ample seating; excellent facilities and lockers for renting. We did have a great day weatherwise and after only about 4 hours; had our fill; you could stay longer; but may not need! Well done!
We had a great time, but the chilly weather made it a little hard to enjoy the waterslides. The toddler area was kept warmer and was lots of fun for younger children.
Very fun attraction for families on hot days. Lazy river is relaxing and the slides are always a thrill to go down. The kids love the atmosphere and the music. They can even book birthday parties there. The concession stand has good treats. They just need more staff so that people dont have to wait in line for an hour to get a drink or a snack. They need to keep the bathroom more clean and checked. They also need to improve the lockers, some are broken and need repair.
We visited Raging River's while on a camping trip July 2013 and loved the wave pool/lazy river combo! My 6 year old's favorite slide was the yellow one and we easily spent 4 hrs here without even noticing how fast the time was going! I loved the fact that there were plenty of life guards for the water parks size. It felt like a safe place for the children to play hard. The locker's were affordable but small. The snack bar had a lot of great choices which we found to be affordable as well. We will definitely be returning !
They have slides and all kinds of water adventures. Or just straight swimming if you prefer. No Polar bear activities so be sure to go when it's warm...Winters here get really cold
