there is a daily light and sound show at night, i expected more. it'S not as beautiful as the sinkhole. i would rather go to the umpherston sinkhole.
Mount Gambier is such an interesting place and they have done a great job informing visitors of its history and quite whacky geology. It's not every day you walk down into a cave garden in the middle of a town - we didn't have much time but we loved it!
But needs some cleaning up. The lightshow is peaceful and tranquil but it's a bit disappointing to see that people have dumped rubbish how there (for example a shopping trolley, some metal type cable, general rubbish). I know it would be a mammoth task to clean it up but it would make it so much better.
Pretty average, with some domestic rubbish dropped by people in the middle of it. Was unusual to see such a sinkhole in the middle of a town so it is worth a look as long as you dont get your expectations too high. Is not as good as the Umpherstone sinkhole just out of Mount Gambier
Right in the heart of town, another interesting place to view. Worth a look. If you are lucky you may see a rainbow through the waterfall!
An absolutely mind blowing experience. Hard to imagine a sinkhole this big on the outskirts of the actual city.
What a shame so much rubbish down there, even a shopping trolley! It cant be that hard for the council to organize someone to get down there for a quick tidy up.
It is incredible to think this magnificent garden is right in the middle of town. Such a beautiful garden, it is a pity that lowlifes are intent in throwing rubbish into this beautiful garden. It is lovely and I would love to see it in the winter when the water flows.
I loved the improvements to the place but I love even more that they've kept some things the same. It was great to see the two sculptures (the wind chimes and the diamond thing balanced on a pole lol) again. I remember being fascinated by them as a kid.I love that there's a new library there now and that it has a cafe! If I were living in the Mt again I could definitely see myself there a LOT haha!It was great seeing the Sir Robert Helpmann Theatre again too. It was good to see the fountain near the main street again too and cool to see that the time capsule again also. One last thing I want to mention is that I'm also very glad that the rose garden is still there! It's absolutely gorgeous (still) and it's obviously very well maintained.Overall: Totally worth visiting!
Imagine that this was once lovely but is now run down and not really worth the visit. The waterfalls no longer run and the lights look like they are mostly broken. Would not bother going again.
