Whenever i want the freshest vine ripened tomatoes and corn from local farmers, I head to Wolff's. They tell you where the produce is grown and you can count on the quality. They also have gourmet cheese, dips, desserts, etc.Pricier than supermarkets, but worth it!
Beautiful, healthy flowers and plants. Local produce. Some weekends, they cook BBQ ribs to go- wonderful. They have home-made baked goods and dips, along with fresh bread. Not inexpensive, but top notch goods. Staff is very knowledgeable and helpful when you are looking for plants
Wolff's is a wonderful place to go for seasonal produce. They have a great variety of fruits and vegetables, and it's mostly locally grown. The prices are good. Their garden center has one of the wider varieties of plants around, and the staff is quite knowledgeable about them. We purchased bushes and perennials several years ago that have done very well in our yard. Their homemade soups are fabulous, and there are so many kinds with unusual combinations of flavors.
Excellent produce, with as much of it as possible being local, fresh baked goods, and interesting things in jars.
I've shopped at Wolff's for a very long time. They always have fresh, seasonal fruits and vegetables. They try and stock local and organic when possible. For example, this past this summer they had blueberries grown less than 5 miles from the shop. That's fantastic.Besides fruit and veg, they sell local baked good (always tasty), flowers, hanging baskets, seasonal displays, plants for your own garden etc. They also have a dairy, prepared food and meat section. The meat is always from local farms that take care of their livestock. When the meat is available here, always choose it over the mass-produced "stuff" from your supermarket. Summing it up, Wolff's is a excellent place to do a good part of your grocery shopping.
Many fresh fruit choices; prices are reasonable; real nice garden center with lots of flowers, shrubbery, wreaths etc.; other 'special' food choices like ribs, chili available periodically.
Just an outstanding market, brimming with the most wonderful produce, cheeses, and plants! We love, love, love shopping here when we are in Media. So wish we had Wolff's closer to us. We always end up shipping home a very large box of goodies. The raspberries this year were fantastic. Over the Top Wonderful.
Wolff's is a wonderful local farm market, especially during the "growing season", when they offer fresh produce from local farmers. In the Spring they offer many (hundreds?) varieties of tomato plants and other vegetables, always well displayed. In the Summer, they have wonderful fresh picked corn, great Pennsylvania and New Jersey tomatoes, local peaches, blueberries, cantaloupes, and watermelon, among other produce. They also have fresh baked goods, great pierogies from a local source, as well as eggs, milk and cheeses. They also sell beautiful flowers and plants. In the Fall they are our local source for apples, pumpkins and other Halloween and Thanksgiving items. The staff of this family owned business is always helpful and friendly. This is a fun place to visit and a great local resource throughout the year.
this place has everything fresh, from soups to veggi's to coffee! it reminds me of the old fruit/farmers stands where quality and variety are abound. You will pay a little bit more, but the products are worth it. The summer has many vegetable plants and seedlings to choose from to grow your own garden, along with the flowers and hanging baskets. The smell of their bbq's make you want to stop as they have the ribs cooking during the summer. the fresh pies and breads are outstanding as well. the only drawback to this place is the ease of access to the parking lot. route 452, south Pennell Road is very busy and crossing over into this place and exiting from it, is a challenge to say the least, be very careful, have seen accidents right in front of this place. Enjoy!
I don't know how "hidden" this actually is as it's right off 452, just south of Route 1. I had driven by several times before I actually decided to go in, but I'm glad I finally did. One great plus is they stay open during the winter and have convenient hours (even in winter they stay open until 6:30). They always have a large selection of fresh produce as well as some dairy items, dry goods, baked items, gifts, ect. Now that spring is coming they also have a large selection of garden items too - flowers, plants and herbs and more. The prices on most things are very reasonable plus they have daily specials and usually a discount table with ripe fruits and veggies. Locally grown foods are clearly marked. They also carry Pequea Valley Farms yogurt and Hillacre's cheese, two of my favorites :) Apple fritters and key lime pie are also both delicious! They also have a detailed website that is kept up to date. I love this place!
