We went to see the Dancing With the Stars Live tour and the show was fantastic!!! The theatre is nicely laid out with great views of the stage. Plenty of concessions & alcohol available for purchase. Souvenir station in main lobby. Will go to another event at this venue!
We went in November, 2013, to see America's Got Talent. The employees were nice and behaved in a professional manner. The establishment was clean. Parking was well directed. We had a nice time.
Theater is great venue. Some issues with the ushers, but all worked out well. GPS does not find this place easily, or maybe even at all.
The concert was fun. They let us dance, and they let us changed to empty seats if we wanted. There wasn't anything I didn't like.
My kids went to a convention there and had the time of their lives! I would definitely go back, and stay at the Radisson.
Front desk is very attentive and quick. Rooms are clean and the HVAC works great. Bar tender is terrific, but the food service is slow.conference center is very nice.
Although I attend a lot of rock concerts, I had never been to the Star Plaza Theater. I bought a VIP Elite ticket about a week before the show and was very happy with the amenities. The ticket was about $50 more than a regular ticket and well worth it. It included a seat in the first seven rows (I was in row 6 even though I bought it on short notice), VIP parking just outside of the door which was very convenient especially when I left, private entrance with no line (although it seemed easy to get in at any door) and access to the Celebrity Circle Lounge. When I first arrived at the theater, I wasn't sure where to park. The staff member directing traffic into the VIP lot was quite friendly and very helpful when asking to see my VIP ticket. It was a nice welcome to the venue. There were plenty of very close parking spots. Entering the venue was easy and quick. My seat was excellent. The theater is not very large so it appears that most seats had good sight-lines even in the balcony. The sound system was good and the concert sounded great. The Celebrity Circle Lounge was a great option for a drink although the bar is somewhat limited in its offerings. There were plenty of seats at the bar as well as comfortable seating throughout the area. Free popcorn was available at the bar which was also nice. The lines for drinks outside of the Celebrity Circle Lounge were quite long so it was nice to have a place to get a drink quickly and comfortably. Nobody asked to see my ticket when I entered the lounge so it appeared anybody really could use it but it was not crowded. When leaving the venue, the same staff person was directing traffic out of the parking lot and again was quite friendly and helpful. I got out ahead of all of the other cars in other lots and I had no wait at all to get out of the VIP parking lot or the streets surrounding the venue and I did stay to the end of the concert. I highly recommend the VIP option. It was well worth the extra charge and made the experience hassle-free.
The Star Plaza Theater is a part of the top notch Raddison Hotel. It is well known for hosting great concerts and shows. It would be a great convenience to attend an event at the theater, and retire to a room at the Raddison, however the rooms at the Raddison are not very affordable for most. If overnight affordability is an issue, I would very highly recommend staying at the Hilton Garden Inn which is less than a 30 second drive up the street. The Hilton Garden Inn is an excellent hotel, excellent service, quality and value.
Nice place. Love the layout for a show! We enjoyed a night away from home to visit this place. A little bit off the beaten path.
This venue makes you feel special because it is posh! The seating is comfortable and it's attached to a Raddison Hotel with updated decorating and cool rock ledge indoor pool. A lot of headliner acts with an Irish pub style restaurant. Try the fish and chips for sure! I always booked my corporate people here when they came from Chicago area so as to give a nice impression of NW Indiana.
