Capital Brewery has a fun beer tour that I would recommend. They have a beer garden that's fun to visit in the summer, but it gets VERY crowded. Unfortunately people come early to reserve the picnic tables which are always full. They also don't serve food, just beer, which is a bummer. Their beers are great though.
Touring this brewery was a blast. All the employees were polite, smart, witty, and inviting. The gift store was nice, the tasting room was big, and the process and experience well worth the trip.
Came for the tour, stayed for the beer and music. Was a bit dissapointed with the brevity of the tour, but for $7 four samples and a glass is fair. Live music playing in the bier garten was a nice touch on a Saturday afternoon, and the barrel-aged pumpkin lager was one of the best I've ever had.
This was a really great venue. The tour was informative and fun; tour guide was very knowledgeable. Beer was good. Live music was awesome. I would highly recommend a visit here!
Go have a beer! Or two! Atmosphere is laid back and the smell of the brewery is endearing. Clean, neat, and simple- great for after work or taking a tour and tasting their brews!
The employee who led the tour made it just outstanding - many questions, and then tour guests who answered correctly received another token for a free beer at the end! Very informative and of course the beer is outstanding. Highly recommended!!!
Dink our beer, here's how it made. Good tour, good beer. Nothing too spectacular but it was a nice stop.
The brewery is modest, so don't expect much. Despite that however they make a damn fine beer. I recommend the Wisconsin Amber and Capital Pilsner. The tour of the small facility is $7 which includes a souvenir beer glass and four 3-ounce samples of any beer available on tap.
We enjoyed the tour which started out with tasting various beers in a souvenir glass that comes with your paid tour. I was amazed at how much goes into making beer. I had no idea. Very informative tour. Our guide was extremely knowledgable.
The tour is very wet so worth the trip. The beer is pretty good but not great. They need be a bit more daring as they have a lot of beers that are hard to tell apart (the amber and fest for instance).
