Great boat tour around Honey Harbour and surrounding area. boat tour is 2 1/2 hours long. Very interesting story of how the 30000 islands originated. My wife and I loved it, grandson well it was bout and 1 1/2 too long. Great trip.
It was overcast, but there were enough passengers to go out on this cruise so we paid and boarded and went out on the 2 1/2 cruise on Georgian Bay on board the MS Midland. The tour was very good with a lot of explanations of what we were seeing, it was a little cool for my mother, but she told me she had a good time! The prices at this place were a little higher than the other place we were supposed to go with, and an hour less cruise time.Thank's for the journey!
Went for a dinner cruise on Serindipity Princess out of Barrie on Aug 9 2014 was a nice relaxing trip ,seemed to be enjoyed by all ,not a huge menu but enough for a casual cruise around Kempenfelt Bay, Service was good and personnel quite helpful
Had a great time out on Georgian Bay. We did a day tour and heard of the history in this area. We were served a lunch which was quite nice and the scenery was spectactular. Would do it again in a heart beat. This time would do the evening cruise. The lights would be beautiful going into Port at night.
Loved the scenery, the many little islands...be sure the day is a sunny one makes for a better trip...every boat tour leaves at 2pm...great time to explore
It was a beautiful day for a boat ride. (They do have a 25 person minimum to launch the boat but we were lucky). It didn't start until the afternoon so we wandered around town and Sainte Marie among the Hurons while we waited. They hand out a pamphlet so I knew which island was which. They also had a description of the area as we were touring along which was nice to listen to (it was enough to provide a description but not too much that they were talking the entire time). We enjoyed the views. I wish that they had blankets or plastic tarps that we could put on our legs as it was quite cold that day on the water. (We weren't wearing long johns or woolies :( ) ... I guess the other option is to go inside but I didn't think that would be as enjoyable (or help with the possible enclosed space sea sickness)... lots of fun :) nice views... go go go
A tour is 2,5 . You will like it with a day trip from Toronto.it also includes St.Maria's mission, the first settlement of Europeans in Ontario and Martyrs Chrine Catholic Church. You will really like it!
Visiting from BC and loved the tour ....we were fortunate to have perfect weather and a very smooth ride. The announcing was very informative. Scenery wonderful. Ps they have food and beverage on board I.e. Pizza and beer :)
We did our boat ride on September 21, well the weather was rainy for most part of the weekend, fortunately at the time the cruise started, it was cloudy, we had a glimpsed of sunshine, but light rain off and on. Once you are out on bay, it became very windy, so if you are going on a rainy day make sure you dress for the weather. Because it was in September, it was not a full boat load. So there were lots of seats. Because vastness and the bay depth of the Bay, the boat was in centre, If you have a normal camera, it useless to take out pics. But if you have those big huge camera, you are lucky, as we came closer to Honey Harbour, that was when we had amazing pictures. Narration was good, but it is more clear and crisp on the top of the boat. The boat did only the main islands, so I guess you have to take cruises from different point in the Georgian Bay to complete the 30,000 island. They are lot of history regarding the Georgian Bay. I was truly amazing of the floating convenience store in the middle of the bay, Yeah that was something else. Also at the start of the tour on the wall of the wheat factory is a large mural depicting scene from Sainte-Marie among the Hurons. There were lots of parking, not a busy day, a restaurant is at foot of the harbour. It is beautiful harbour. The tour was good, the washroom was decent. Had a smoking area for smokers
First time on this cruise . Beginning announcement was that adults were responsible for supervising their children while on the boat . While most did , one set of adults totally ignored the three children who spent the first half of the cruise running up and down the stairs and up and down the aisles on the boat . Finally they wore themselves out for a period of peace and quiet but started up again as cruise was finishing . Then pushed their way down the stairs . Not their fault as they have probably never heard the word 'No' in their young lives . Otherwise cruise was enjoyable . Finding a parking spot in an already over full area was a pain . So go earlier than you thought you should to save yourself aggravation.
