When your reach Tsigrado you can see a sign saying decent at your own risk. This says it all. The way to the beach is really steep. Did not go down. The beach seemed really small. We looked elsewhere.
Something different from the other beaches, the way to the beach is unique, like the prison brake! :) small beach withe caves!!
The view from the top of that is fantastic.I did not go down, but if you are thinking about going there without going down, do it.
You have to climb down a narrow ravine and steep ladder to reach it but it is so worth it! Great little exclusive spot with good snorkelling.
We have been on Milos for about a week and have seen many of its beaches. While Tsigrado isn't bad, (it's sandy and the water is blue) the same can be said of all of the other beaches on Milos and probably every other island in the Aegean. Other posters refer to a broken ladder, which has since been fixed, but the climb is still a quite dangerous especially in sandals and with beach equipment, and there are lines both at the top and on the beach, waiting for the other vacationers to climb or descend. Save your time and see one of the other beaches with more to offer. Clearer water, smoother sand, more interesting surroundings, etc are all over.
They really need to make some sort of ladder if they haven't already. A couple speaking a language I couldn't understand looked down at the rope and the precipice and despite our encouragement, couldn't muster the will. But this is that beach that you've dreamed of. The water is amazingly clear and blue, the rocks are bright colors. Take an afternoon, this one will take some time to find (don't mind the bulldozers zipping around the island), and once you're there you won't want to leave.
This is by far the best sunbathing beach on Milos! Some of the other reviews are a little exaggerated when it comes to the climb down, but from my experience, the ladders have been upgraded and ropes securely fastened. That said, wear sneakers, take it slow and enjoy the reward of a beautiful beach, clear waters and caves to explore. PS...Don't climb down face first, climb down with your back toward the water and don't wear flip flops. Take all of your stuff in a backpack. The climb is a fun challenge!
You have to go down a steep path to reach the beach, kind of dangerous if you are not careful but it is 100% worth it. Small, private beach with small caves and crystal green waters!
if you are not too scary, you have to go there ; you'll have to use a ladder and a rope to handle tight to reach this superb beach, but once you're there....
With all that I have read on the web about this beach, I was expecting more. The view is great. The path to the beach is kind of an adventure, which is not difficult but if you have any kind of disability, I will strongly suggest you not to visit. The beach itself is very small, with just a bit of sand to lay down. The water wasn't as clear as many other beaches in Milos.I only stayed there for half an hour.
