The activities are good. Good food is not available there except maggi. Carrying your own food is also little bit of trouble as the temperature out is freezing.
The place is excellent as a tourist spot. Its more a commercial tourist spot with all the sports activities and photography opportunity. If you travel with small kids make sure you are able to cover them properly specially the hands and legs. Make sure to play some games. Make sure to also have some maggi its quite good and refreshing.
i had been there for paragliding it was an amazing experience ...the best thing was it was pretty safe!
i love this place. because its contain full of nature .but solang valley is contains lot of money.like hotel rent ,travel charge ,food &services
Dont forget to take your Safety Shoes as I did. (opt for Tiger Safety Shoes with high ankles or any other Brand) but avoid going with the Gum-Boots which the local people hire there. It never stops our foot from freezing as they have a very thin Sole. I carried my Tiger Safety Shoes which I purchased especially for this Trip @ Rs. 850/- from Mohammed Ali Road in Mumbai below the J.J. Fly over (not on the Main Road, but in the right lane while going towards CST Station, where Building Safety Items are sold). I also got Metro Safety Shoes for my Kid (10 Years) for Rs. 500/-. Thank God I purchased them. My son had to come to the car to change to his Safety Shoes instead of the Gum Boots he was wearing since the Gum Boots cannot resist the Chill from the Snow.
its one of the best place to visit in manali.we were greeted with beautiful snowfall .it has many outdoor activitiesdo ride its cable car
Me & my wife went there on our 1st vacation after marriage in last week of Feb 2015..... and this place is awesome....everybody should go...for skiing.. paraglaiding.....snow bike riding.... full of adventure
We were bowled out when we saw Solang Valley for the first time. Snow everywhere and the fancy sports that we had otherwise seen on TV were happening in front of us!
We visited during Feb 2015, it was covered in about 4 feet of snow and we did skyiing, paraglading and snow mobile riding which was fantastic.
