Good collection of rides and rides that have not made appearences at local fairs for a long time only problem was two members of staff fighting over drugs in the kids fun house good indoor bowling overall fun experience
You can spend a few hours here with young children on the rides ,jungle Jim and slot machines and also arcade games.
Spent most of the day at the wonderland with my sister, her 2 small kids and my 9 month old baby. Unfortunately I would not return after our experience. The cost was around £42 which I do not feel was value for money. No queue at ticket office and we thought it must be quiet, this was definitely not the case . The actual queue was around the corner and all the way to the bar. We waited in this line for over an hour for storytelling and ended up leaving as our children where really fed up . I did not feel this session was appropriate for young children no props where used although the older children looked slightly more entertained. We then waited another hour and a half to see santa in the cold . I couldn't fault santa , elves who where really good. The snow scenes were nice too as was my babies first santa picture making it worth the nearly 3 hour wait in queues. Cmon m and's better organization next year this is far too long for wee kids to wait . Next year I'll be going to the local shopping centre to see santa !!!
Had a minor run in with one staff member in particular prior to this and was unsure if I would return, however I would like to thank the team at M&Ds in the way the dealt with my complaint and this gave me the confidence to return. To be totally over the moon, once again another amazing experience, my kids absolutely love it here, from story telling to real reindeers and a mini North pole, I know it may be a bit pricey but if you go to a regular Santa UR getting a shabby photo in a shed! Definitely worth the money and will be returning soon to the arcade area for some prize winning with the kids!
a little bit of everything for everyonr here if u fancy game of bowling or amazonia to see the animals or just for a bite to eat.defo worth a wee trip out.x
I am currently sitting in the establishment as I write this review. Visited for my son's 2nd birthday and arrived around 11.30am. Decided to go for a bite to eat first...total rip off and food not very appetising. Went to buy tickets for the winter wonderland. £12 for my 2 year old and just over a fiver each adult. This didn't even include a trip to the soft play or amazonia which was to be paid separately. We had a 2min shot on the carousel and then waited for close to 2 hours in a queue to see santa. Storytelling was first, and after waiting so long in the queue, I knew my wee boy wouldn't wait patiently and listen to stories. So I asked if we could skip it, only to be told that the actual queue was only for storytelling!! We walked down to see santa and the reindeer. Two reindeer were there, with one of them asleep. Then another massive queue in the freezing cold to see santa. We braved the cold for almost half an hour before giving up and heading back inside (where it is still freezing). Another £3 so my son could get into the soft play. So overall, it's cost us £25 for my son to get a shot on a carousel for 2mins and soft play. I understand it gets busy, but surely there is a better way of managing this?? How are small children expected to queue for that length of time, especially in the cold. This was recommended to me by a friend, but I'm sad to say that I won't ever be back. What should've been a lovely experience has left a very sour taste in my mouth.
What can I say do not waste your money going here. We went today with my daughter to see Santa we waited for 1 hour in a que to get into story teller. The story was terrible. After the story we had to wait in a que again to see Santa in the rain for over an hour!! When we asked the staff what was going on they said it was over booked. Not an enjoyable experience.
Complete waste of money! We took an 8yr old and 2.5year old, it cost us £11.25 per child but if we wanted to accompany our children it would cost an additional £5.25 per adult! A total of £33, we were to wait in the amusements until it was time for the storytelling, the girl was enthusiastic enough but it really didn't capture the attention of children, we were then herded through another tunnel which had holes in it, cheap gazebos put up to queue in while waiting for Santa, there were no decorations or animated Christmas scenery to keep kids entertained. There were 3 or 4 badly covered holes which were the entrances to 3 or 4 Santas - not easy to explain to kids why there are that many Santas! Santa fixed his falling down beard when we were in, kids got presents which I could have picked up in the pound shop, one of the photographs was really bad so we had to go back in for another photo, then on the way out we passed the animated Christmas scenes and letter writing. On the way out you pass the cheapest looking shop selling £4 balloons and Christmas decorations. We had our tea and mince pie and left, I'm going to email and ask for a refund, but to be honest I don't think the company are that interested in customer satisfaction. I could've taken the children to a better, cheaper Christmas experience in a shopping centre, we will most definitely never go back.
as a family, we have visited M&D's , 3years in a row now as my fiancée and daughter have their birthday on the same date. £88.00 for 3 of us for the boat with Stena from Belfast to Cairnryan with a coach to meet you on arrival in Scotland for transfer, and the real winner is the unlimited wrist band to most of the rides in the park. 5 hours in the theme park. What value for money.!! . The chippy is what it is, a chippy, but, the food indoors is much better, and of course I found my favourite arcade game, from my teens( 30 years ago) PACMAN. I could near stay the five hours playing it. We did go to Thorpe Park last year in August and of course it is going to be better, as it was near same price just for entry. , but, we wouldn't be going back year after year if it wasn't an enjoyable day out. Took our 3 kids after lunch. It's not really child friendly. My.daughter is 4 and had to struggle to play some machines. No stools or anything.
