Friendly service and beautiful views even in winter months. This is my second time there and second time is just as good as the first! Will be back again! Of course the wine (especially Flirtation) and beer were great too!
Far exceeded my expectations for a vineyard wedding. Ceremony location picturesque, vineyard staff helpful, covered patio ideal for dinner and dancing. And the wine was a delightful treat. Been a bit of Russian River wine snob but their wines are now on my enjoy list. Hands down a place to consider for weddings. Just wish my schedule had allowed time to take their tour the following day.
Round Peak Vineyard is one of the best venues to enjoy wine and beer tasting. Most wineries you are put in a dark room and the tasting is boring. At Round Peak you are sitting on a patio at the rear of the winery facing a long range view of the mountains of North Carolina. We visited on a Saturday and were treated to free live local Music and the ability to bring our own grilling meats and using the wineries free grills to enjoy our meal. The Sunset views are Fabulous!
Literally our new favorite north carolina winery!! Our family usually stops at a winery on the way home from our Ohio road trips. We weren't going to stop this trip and my husband was like go for it! From the time we pulled in we felt so welcomed. There was an amazing area for our dog that was traveling with us that is fenced in so they can run while we were inside tasting. He was in heaven! We had our 8 month old daughter with us and they welcomed her with open arms. I did a wine tasting and my husband did wine and beer. Everything we tried was delicious! The staff was so warm and welcoming! It made the experience that much sweeter. We were thinking it was going to be an hour stop... turned into 2.5 hours! We ended up doing the beer tasting on the back patio and it is AMAZING!! The views are perfect and so relaxing. Thank you so much to the staff for making this a perfect experience for us! We will be back!!
Another great winery in the Yadkin Valley of North Carolina! Great tasting of our selection of wines. Also had craft beers but did not try those. Bought 7 bottles and a glass of red and headed out to the pavilion in back to enjoy the scenic Smokies and a view of the vineyards. Great breeze off the mountains! Life doesn't get any better!
My nephew's wedding was held at Round Peak. Our family traveled from Pennsylvania and Ohio for the occasion. The staff of the winery was very friendly and helpful. They offer both sweeter and dry wines. I prefer the dry but tasted the sweeter ones and they were also tasty. The views are beautiful here. You can enjoy your wine outside or in their cozy tasting room. There is a gazebo in the vineyard which is where my nephew's wedding ceremony took place. The reception was held on the porch of the winery. It was so pretty there and all of the guests enjoyed both the wine and beer from the vineyard/brewery.We also rented the four bedroom house on the property which was very convenient. The house was very clean and it appears as though its been recently renovated. Beds were comfy and bathrooms were well equipped, as was the kitchen. The screened porch was a great place to sit and enjoy the view!I would definitely recommend Round Peak!
We stopped at Round Peak before heading home after a wine weekend and were pleasantly surprised. Let me first say, we loved the dogs and of course, Augie was a star... too cute! The atmosphere inside and out of Round Peak is awesome. We tasted wines and also did a beer flight from Skull Camp Brewery. All very good. Bought a couple bottles of wine and polished them off quickly after arriving home. The view over the vineyards is wonderful and I can only imagine when they have bands, etc. it is the perfect way to spend an evening outdoors. We really enjoyed it- stop when you have a picnic lunch and can take a bottle outside and relax with the view. Will be back.
We stopped on our way home from Virigina to Raleigh. What a nice little vineyard find! They are dog friendly, with a fenced in dog run for your pooch. You can also take your dog(s) walking through the vine trails, on a leash. They are not allowed in the tasting room however. This vineyard has excellent wines. Loved their red blends, and reasonable prices. My husband tried a couple of their beers and said they were really good. You can bring your own snacks, enjoy a tasting and buy a glass/bottle of wine afterwards. Wine tasting is $1 per wine, which seemed a little steep, but worth it after we tried the wines. Will definitely be back.
There are a few neat things...one, they are dog friendly and have a fenced play yard off the tasting room. Two, they offer both wine and beer tastings (skull creek). Three, they are very very close to Mt. Airy. We liked the Dedication...a red that is to be drunk chilled as it is on the sweet side but not sickenly so.
Enjoyed a wine tasting on a warm summer evening on the large patio overlooking the vineyard & mountains. Enjoyed a dry white the most. Spouse liked the beer! What a pleasant way to spend a few hours. The Saturday evening we were there, we enjoyed live music: good singer play I g his guitar.
