What can I say, we sampled all their products and then had to make the difficult decision what to take home with us. Loved it all.
Upon my first visit to the Pukara Estate grove at Muswellbrook I was greeted by gorgeous olive trees, crisp fresh country air and very welcoming staff. A stunning place to experience a taste of the Upper Hunter Valley whilst soaking up the atmosphere. They also serve good coffee from Toby's Estate.
Visited the olive grounds with 2adults 2kids.You enter thru outdoor seating into the shop. There is a vast selection:oils, flavored oils, pesto, mayonnaises, onion jams gift packs etc. it is set out well with a tasting counter. Asked for coffee and was offered something to eat (pecan pie, orange almond cake or a chocolate cake)Coffee was very good, albeit a little cold. Seating outside. Pleasant experience.
Coffee and Cakes, yes, but not for lunch. To be fair, they don't advertise a lunch is served. But a nice ploughman's lunch in this setting would be fantastic. Oh well.
Took the family for a visit and was quite impressed by the friendly staff and set up. Coffee was good and the sample testing was great fun tried some stuff we would normally not have and enjoyed the outing. Some kids toys were set up outside and little chairs and the whole experience was quite friendly and enjoyable I now have 6 bottles of flavoured olive oil in my kitchen but also have the recipes and menu's to give it a go. Very Good
We're locals but often visit Pukara with visitors and stock up for ourselves. It is a very large olive grove and oils are the speciality (extra virgin and infused with lemon, garlic, wasabi etc). I have never been disappointed with the products and I've been a fan of caramelised balsamic vinegar since the first taste. In fact the vinegars (try the guava) add another dimension to many dishes. they are not cheap but a little goes a long way. Well worth a visit.
Lovely place, to taste the wines and relax outside over the vineyards. Great value Antipasto and cheese platter - yummy.
I have eaten at pukara a few times before, this time was for a work Christmas party, the food was Devine, the oils and vinegars to die for and the dulls quite a nice diversion. The setting beautiful seated alongside the olive trees. You'll have to book ahead for groups to ensure catering
Great spot friendly and extremely helpful staff great produce incredible variety of oils and vinegars and recipe hints as well I consider myself a fan!!!
