It was wonderful to see so many different varieties of birds including cormorants breeding grounds while boating around the lake visiting uo to 6 families of hippos.
The view is amazing, facilities good, look out for the mosquitoes. Utensiles, ingredients and meat can be hired at the venue and is reasonably priced.
A boat ride on the lake is a must. Not just scores of birds but of course several families of Hippo's reside in the small lake. Take a boat ride of an hour. I have done it three times and I have always seen Hippo's. Go too for birds.
The small edge of L.Naivasha offers the travellers a great chance to see and meet the locals in their daily business of fishing. However in most times of the year we have flamingos here wher you can see them flying around and sometimes as you do boat safari. The best thing iss the boat safari taking photos of the hippos many birdlife that is abundant.A place not to miss.
Not as big and famous as Naivasha and hence may be more beautiful...you see flamingos, hippos, Giraffe, antelope etc besides you can rent the lake side places or park your own van.. There is boat ride available as well
Enjoyed a walk around the lake. Full,of Hippos. Also plenty of wildlife grazing around the lake. Any visit to Naivasha deserves a walk around this lake
Stayed with a large family group in a self - catering house / cottage on the lake shores. Grogeous early morning sunrises. Hippos come into the grounds to feed at night. Hundreds of pelicans and many other birds. African fish eagles spotted in the distance. Other bird sigfhtings included many yellow billed storks, hammerkop, pied kingfisher, spoonbil and a few others.
Many animals, many birds. Mostly waterhorces/Hippos I seen at same time. Stay to see them if your passing by.
The boat ride was nice but there wasn't much to see. There was only one flamingo and lots of pelicans. The hippos were all submerged so we could only see the ears
