a few hours here towards the end of September was an afternoon of peace and quiet . Friend and I walked and photographed the falls, and the beautiful forest..a light rain only added to the atmosphere. Strongly recommend you not miss this
When you park you have the option of going toward the upper or lower falls. The upper falls is a short hike and very impressive. The lower falls is a long hike downhill, and thus back up. The view from the lower falls is not nearly as impressive and unless you really enjoy hiking I would skip it.
Englishman River Falls Provincial Park is always a beautiful walk but in the winter its even better. No crowds just a peaceful walk and the falls are even more dramatic because of the winter rains. Great place on a rare sunny winters day.
The falls are breathtaking. The walk to the falls is very close to the parking lot- so even if you have limited mobility, it's easy to get to. On the way to the falls- we saw a black bear run across the road. And if you have the time- you can walk/hike the area.
A great campsite. Some great walking trails. Kids of all ages love it here. The waterfalls, the bridges cross the river twice to give you a great view of the water.
I went there with friends. It is a great place for hiking. Deep canyon, few ponds with crystal clear water and many different paths to choose from. Remember to have good boots and stay hydrated. I can recommend that place.
The sites & sounds in this park is well worth the experience. These hiking trails can be challenged by young or old, as they are nicely designed out. They follow the creek bed with some nice little water falls to see. Nice large parking lot & flush toilets are available during the high season.
Easy parking. Short walk to falls for those less ambitious. For a simple amble for the more adventurous a longer walk is available. Down to a second smaller falls. So pretty when water is combined with the beautiful scenery of Vancouver Island. If your in the area don't miss it.
This is one of the most serene and picturesques parks on Vancouver Island. Hiking trails connect the Upper and Lower falls. The picnic are at the top is very restful. It is also connected to a Provincial Campground. Fantastic spot.
Great place for hiking. A trip to Coombs for lunch (I recommend Cuckoo Trattoria Pizzeria) and/or shopping is a bonus.
