Amazing view over the hole coast, you can even see costa rica form there. Go for sunset it is absolute incredible!!
This place is beautiful!!! 2 $ to get in. You can drive up and leave you car on the bottom of the hill. I not sure walking from the town of San Juan del Sur. The visit takes less than 15 minutes but is worth it>>
A steep, but quick trek up to this spot is worth it. Great views of the town and beach below. $2 entrance fee seems reasonable.
Fairly easy to find and the street is paved, which is a plus. The grade of the street is extremely steep -- I wouldn't feel comfortable on a motor bike (even though many did!). Quick walk and $2 to actually enter the statue area. Beautiful views but watch out for the wind!
Find a way to drive there. If you walk it's a steep hill that takes forever. If it's a windy day below you'll be in hurricane force winds above. That being said, the view is awesome.
Bring your camera take a taxi and visit the most beautiful view of the pacific anywhere. You won't be disappointed with the pictures you can take from this real wonder of the world. A trip to San Juan Del Sur is not complete if you take in this sight.
A must go in San Juan del Sur! We walked to el Mirador it is worth the walk and the view of San Juan del Sur was amazing.
Couple of dollars to enter and $1 to park. Steep drive and occasionally no signs at turns but easy enough to find. Obviously for the views.
very steep and challenging climb to the base of statue but this is an experience worth having! The view is one of the most gorgeous and impressive I have ever seen (and I have seen quite a few) Costa Rican mountains in one direction beyond the beauty of the SJDS bay with it's lovely lanchas, and Nasocolo Bay visible from the other. There is a small fee for entry
The 20-30 minute walk up to this statue, one of the 10 tallest Christ images in the world, gets the heart pounding and the blood flowing, as the incline is immense, but it's worth it for the views over the town and beyond to the mountains of Guanacaste on the southern horizon. Although it feels kind of remote, it's a safe walk and the photo opps are fantastic.
