I love coming to this theater because the tickets are, at most, half the price of other theater tickets! Plus concessions are cheap too and the theater has a nice old time feel to it which is nice. There is plenty of parking too. Only thing is, they play movies after they leave the major theaters but that is fine with me! Definitely recommend this theater for anyone in the area.
I love the seating, low cost tickets, and the popcorn! I have gone here for 16 years and they never disappoint!
Inside of theater is still a great historic theatre. The concessions are also really affordable for families.
We always enjoy going to this theater: the ticket and concession prices are very reasonable and it doesn't break the bank to see a movie. Last night, however, we had a negative experience because several teenagers kept talking/whispering throughout the movie and looking at their cellphones. Finally couldn't stand it anymore and went to find someone from the theater to deal with the problem but there was no one around. This was frustrating but what if there was a bigger problem to deal with (maybe they are upstairs in the projection room but no one was in the main theater area to provide assistance)?? Also, found it disturbing they had chained closed one of the 3 sets of the front entrance/exit doors.
Second run movies at great prices are standard fare at this wonderful neighborhood theatre. Food and drink prices are also reasonable. You can take the whole family and not break the bank.
old style movie theater, one screen, very inexpensive tickets and snacks. Great place for a cheap date to see not-quite new movies. Comfortable. Some of the employees seem a little gruff at first, but once you get to now them, they are decent folks who have done a GREAT job of keeping this little gem in the heart of downtown New Cumberland open and recently digitalized. A nice neighborhood feel next to restaurants and taverns.
My family has visited the West Shore Theater in New Cumberland for over 20 years. The charm of the restored theater, the inexpensive ticket and snack prices and comfy seats make it worth a visit BUT this year the theater is undergoing a major fund raiser to update their systems to digital rather than traditional film. Their cost for this project is staggering. You would like that a small family run business would be personable but they seem to be anything but friendly and kind. From the man in the ticket booth that never seems to be able to say anything kind except complain about how much he works... to the gal in the concession stand that wears nothing but a frown and seems to be impatient while you scan their snack display for a treat to enjoy. On the counter last evening I saw a jar soliciting for donations towards the digital upgrade. It was pushed to the side, poorly marked and neither of the concession gals mentioned a thank you when the young girl in front of me dropped her change in the jar.
I have been going to this theatre since I was basically born. It was one of our favorite places to frequent when we lived in PA. Cannot wait until December to possibly get the chance to pop in for a movie and popcorn!!!!
Step back into time in this theater. Great pricing from the cost of a ticket to the snacks you eat. Easy parking in a safe neighborhood.
This theater has been through a lot and survived. It still has the trappings of an old-style theater but with new equipment. It is wide and spacious and there's plenty of parking with the lot across the street. So much nicer to go to than the ones in the malls and Cinema houses.
