Have loved his wines from afar for a long time. For two years was a member of the wine club. So on my first trip to Oregon wine country, had to go by. Not easy to get to -- not near our B & B or anything else I wanted to try. Disappointed that the winery was not well-adapted for many visitors. Stayed 5 minutes and left. Still love his wines, and will continue to drink from afar.
Found this gem of a winery close to the Allison Inn and Spa in Newberg, it is back towards Sherwood on the right up a hill. Owner named the winery after his grandfather, the Pinots are some of the best we have ever tasted!
Jim, the winemaker, was our tour guide. He was affable, articulate and funny. We had a fun and informative tour with great wines the whole way through.
