Lovely old church . Can have a coffee on entering / leaving. Architecture is beautiful. Quite busy with fellow tourists but still remains peaceful & tranquil
If you are visiting the September 11 memorial this place is certainly worth a visit. This hidden little gem tells of the story in a different view point and looks to find the hope in the events of the day. This place is so beautiful and peaceful i could have spent hours in here. Thank you to the staff on site for helping to create a relaxed atmosphere and allowing Me to just sit, bringing over a tissue but not interfering
A wonderfully gothic building situated amongst the hussle & bussle of NY.Beautifully ornate architecture, and in complete contrast to the high rise buildings
This was a beautiful visit - my friend was shopping in Century 21 and as I am not really a shopper was more than happy to have the opportunity to explore this little gem. Very evocative and a fitting tribute to all those who gave their time to help those trying to clear the disaster area left after the World Trade Centre was decimated.
The interior of the church is not gothic style, obviously but nonetheless its a place to see. Many former presidents use to come here and I believe prominent people in the US history are burried around the churchAlso, this church was damaged a little during the unfortunate 9/11 attacks but a tree that I believe still stands was not destroyed. It was a sycamore tree.I would visit during summer months and is one of the great places to visit in NYC.
