Kids loved it and so did the adults. We stayed at a hotel attached to the park so it was very handy with the kids!
Firstly, I was a bit surprised by the pricing. Part of me likes that it is a flat fee, but part of me feels like it is a lot of money to spend when small children are going to use very little of the facilities.I went with my 2 daughters, ages 4 + 6. All 3 of us love a hot tub ... unfortunately kids aren't allowed in the hot tub + because I had to supervise them, none of us got to go in the hot tub. My kids aren't super swimmers or big risk takers, and had never been to such a big waterpark before. They weren't super keen on the slides - my one daughter did no slides, and the other daughter did the same tiny slide 3 times. Thankfully they loved the wave pool so we spent most of our time in there. I get the comments that 'there is something for everyone' but at the steep price of admission, that something better entertain you for several hours, and I can see why it wouldn't be worth it for you if you aren't going to be entertained for hours in a wave pool and big slides. The facilities feel a bit rundown, which is fine, they are clean which is evident by the burning sensation in your eyes from all the chlorine. The locker room was like a public pool, pretty bare bones. They do NOT have hairdryers which surprised me. The shower was too hot for my kids and there was no temperature control and you kept having to press the button which is super annoying. Costs: Lockers are $10 for large which is unavoidable in the Winter. We stayed at another hotel - parking was $20 to park below the park, but we parked across the street for $5 and it wasn't a big deal to walk across the street. Costco sells etickets for $28, so a great savings. They emailed me the tickets within hours of ordering them online. Would I go again? Probably, but not for a while until my kids get more adventurous. Would I recommend it? For families with kids who are going to do the slides for hours it would be great, but don't expect good food or fancy locker rooms.
A lot of fun and beats out the other water park in the city by a longshot! Even so, it's not as good as some of the big water parks in the USA. It's very expensive for what you get. It's attached to a hotel and unless you are staying there, it's really expensive. Of course we saw the hotel package rates and there is no way to save any money coming to this park probably because it's right in the middle of cheesy and ultra expensive Clifton Hill. The food is also really expensive.
This was the second time we visited this indoor waterpark. My boys are 7 and 9 and they were eager to go back after our first visit. We booked an overnight package with Crowne Plaza and the price was reasonable, definitely cheaper than Great Wolf Lodge. The convenience of staying in an attached hotel is great, especially in the winter. In the evening, we walked to Rainforest Cafe, the Hershey Store and an arcade without stepping outside. When the temperature is below zero that is a big plus. Some of the lines for the slides are a bit too long, so my boys preferred to spend a lot of time in the wave pool. The Planet Hollywood restaurant in the waterpark offered affordable choices so you don't have to leave or change clothes to eat.
We were here on a Thursday night and Friday early afternoon. It wasn't very crowded, so the kids were able to really enjoy every part of the park without long lines. They especially loved the big slides and the wave pool. It kept them busy for hours and they had smiles on their faces (ages 9-12). There were enough seats for us to sit and have a "home base" for the kids to check in, and we had a good view. There were two (very) hot tubs for those over 16. The changing areas were very clean, and we liked the bathing suit spinner that practically dried our suits. One suggestion would be to make it more clear how to enter if you're walking in from the street (which we did because our hotel wasn't attached). You need to go into the parking lot that is signed only for the casino and follow signs to the back elevator. From the street you don't really see anything that calls you in there, so our first time going, we accessed it through the big bridge/tunnel of another hotel and had to wait for someone with a key card, and I'm sure that hotel doesn't appreciate people doing that :) Overall though, the kids had a great time and definitely want to go back!
My grandson is 2 1/2 and he loved the water park. There are lots of activities for all ages. Even the adults were using the slides. My only complaint was the chlorine just sitting at the park was stinging my eyes....but I'm sure I was the only one to notice.
Maybe it's because my kids haven't been to GWL but they have been to calypso in Ottawa but they love fallsview Water park! It's our second time going and my kids are 10 and 6 they were so excited to be there. My only complaint is the price of the lockers and the showers in the main area are freezing cold. So my advice would be shower in the private stalls in the change rooms even though there are only two. Oh and use the bathing suit ringer/dryer it works!!! We left for meals and returned later. Once you have your wrist band you can come and go. If you get your wristband from one of the hotels you get in earlier which was awesome. The days we went the lines were minimal. Kids can't wait to return.
不同的滑坡和区域,很多适合孩子玩儿的,而且有闲坐区,提供给不想玩儿水的。设施极其干净整洁,有很多浴巾。唯一的缺点是这个地方一直都很多人。
