We lined up for over half an hour to enter the park, then crawled around to see the lights. I'd advise parking just insidw the entrance and walking to get around faster and see the animals closer. The animal-shaped lights were pretty and looked realistic, but it was a long wait to see them and there weren't as many or as much variety as I'd expected. As overseas tourists, we loved the novelty of the moose, bear and wolf lights.
The park is amazing in summer. But right now the lights at night make th spark alive with playful moving little features. Super cool.
A perfect place to spend your time with family. It is appropriate place to spend even if you are in a group or you could just relax with a book under a tree if you are alone
This is a park I visited for years. It is a series of man-made islands (though I have read that there were some original islands here) just south of Niagara Falls. This is a pleasant place to hike or picnic. There are restrooms and the parking is free. In December it becomes part of the Festival of Lights and one can drive the circle road to enjoy the displays. We used to like coming here to swim but I have read that you can't do that anymore.
AMAZING! Our kids loved it it was spectacular and I wanted to take Sven home! THe circle tour of the Islands are light up with dancing lights. It was well worth the winter trip to see the Festival.
We go here so often it is almost ridiculous - the kids love feeding the ducks and geese and we all enjoy taking a different path each visit. We found an awesome spot for family photos last Fall, too!
One of Niagara Parks gems! Approximately 10 acres of beautiful parkland filled with tiny islands connected by little bridges and foot paths. This park is so much more than just a seasonal attraction, it is a year round venue. Although you are no longer able to swim in the waterways of Dufferin Islands, it is still a lovely (and popular) place to visit throughout the warm weather months, take a picnic lunch or dinner, sit by the water and watch the wildlife and feed the birds. But if a walk in the park is not your thing, wait until the cold weather sets in and drive through the park to see Niagara Falls famous Winter Festival of Lights. Absolutely a spectacular display of both animated and static lights! There is something for everyone to see. The Festival of Lights runs from November through January. Admission to the park is free but donations are gratefully accepted. Don't miss this attraction, it is the pride of the Niagara Parks Commission, especially around Christmas time!
We take our son here a couple of nights a week to wind down after dinner and to feed the Geese and Ducks. It has become a place for our family time
Waited in a long line of cars for over an hour to see a "light show" which ended up being 10 or so 3d animals made of clear lights. One animal every once un a while. I realize they are trying to raise money to start over but it was almost torture
I have been here many times,in all different seasons. It is a quite spot to park and enjoy the duck filled ponds.
