Nice place to sit and watch the boats go in and out of the jettys. Has a good beach. You can fish from the jettys. benches and pick nick tables . Cocession stand with sandwiches snacks pop and beer. Clean restrooms. No cost to enter this nice smAll park.
Recently renovated and is a great place to go to the beach, grab a bite, fish or relax on the beach!
The jetty is a lovely place just to take a walk, talk and hangout with friends, and just enjoy the view. The fishing here is also really good!
Easy access to beach and free parking. Locals are entertaining. New restrooms are welcomed and is new concessions/grill.
Even though our main objective when visiting Casey Key is Nokomis Beach we always make a point of stopping at the North Jetty to walk the channel and sit for awhile to watch the boats coming and going and take in the views of Venice. With the newly added concession and restroom facilities one could easily make this their primary spot for spending a beach day on Casey Key. There is considerable free parking, a covered shelter, picnic tables, a children's play area, and some benches along the jetty.
A great place to go to fish or just relax and have beer and watch boats. Two snack bars. Lots of Dolphins to see right in front of you. Has a great beach too. The birds are plentiful. Great picture taking too.
New restrooms...multiple picnic tables and newly opened snack bar. It offers a diverse menu to suit a wide range of selections. Jetty is a great place to fish. Fish hitting on shrimp. Nearby beach is very nice.
You have to see it to believe it. It's free and has tons of parking. The sand is white and soft. The restrooms are clean and there are plenty of tables for picnics.
Great public beach that has a little bit of everything to offer, so bring your camera. The beach sand is not powdery white flour-like Siesta Key but that's not what we came for. We came to see dolphins swimming and we did. There they were just off the jetty. I think there was a pod of 3 or 4 the day we were there. They swim in and around the channel that leads to the intercoastal waterway. There were also pelicans and other seabirds that make interesting photos, so bring your camera (with telephoto is best) and get some good pictures. Then there are the fishermen and women to watch and see what they catch. The channel is busy with commercial and pleasure boats heading in and out of the ICW.The part of the beach near the jetty has mounds of shells for the shell collector. The beach sand is coarse but not hot and the sand in the water is smooth and firm. There is a small drop as you enter the water but it was easy to navigate. Water temp the day we visited 67F. I did swim but it took about 10 minutes until I was numb and then I swam like a fish. The beach didn't see as crowded as Siesta Key which was great. The walk from your car to the beach is not far either. Would definitely visit it again.
We were here on a weekend so the beach was crowded but fun. Plenty of shelling room available. The cafe has some tasty choices (we got a tuna sandwich and tuna on lettuce as a salad) and beer choices as well. There was a four-piece group (Sawyer) playing under the trees by the picnic tables and people were enjoying the music. A good place for some outdoor food and music on the weekend.
