Great fun especially for beer drinkers. Very informative. Make sure you have a driver to drop you off and pick you up after the tour so you can fully benefit from generous samples :)Did it on a groupon deal and thought it was a bargain
I could not recommend this more highly. A group of 5 of us went along for the tour and tasting and had a fantastic time. When I say tour well it is a microbrewery so that means 2 rooms downstairs where they make the beer then it's upstairs to the bar for tasting. The tour is about mainly about the tasting and getting to know the stories and the ingredients in those beers as well as getting to know the process of making the beer. Its a great atmosphere, very educational alongside being just fun, and the beer is lovely. We tried 7 different beers on the tour and they are very generous. I must of had at least 1/2 a pint of each if not a bit more. They crack open the bottles and leave some out for you to top up your class. Definitely recommend to those who love beer.
I couldn't recommend this brewery tour more highly. These are people who are passionate about the beers the brew and their very knowledgeable talk mixed with plenty of witty banter made for an excellent evening. We got down to drinking virtually as soon as we arrived and over the course of the evening tasted five or separate beers from their range with some nibbles to accompany them. Brilliant value for money.
I purchased this tour for as an anniversary treat for my husband (a real ale fan), expecting him to love, and for me to be there as a taxi driver if I'm honest. However, I was surprised how much I enjoyed it too! Great, down to earth, knowledgeable host, plenty of fun anecdotes to keep us all amused, and plenty of ale samples to keep my other half happy. Will be purchasing more tours as gifts for brother in laws etc. You can purchase bottled ale to take home, however, there is no 'hard sell'. Well worth a visit.
Booked from Amazon Local on a deal for myself and my husband, as we've been on a couple of different tours before and always enjoyed them.I have to say this tour lead by Mike took it to the next level, he was informative, without being too much and had a laugh along the way.You also get a good taste of all of the Tunnel ales - we got to try 8 different ones, and they are decent sized measures too.I would definitely recommend visiting Tunnel Brewery and we'll be returning soon.
Had a brilliant time so interesting how the beer is made and the samples really top it off. Well worth a visit.
We visited Tunnel Brewery last night. What a fantastic we night we had. The tour lasted for over 2 hours and in total we tried 8 different ales. Nibbles were also provided once we were in the bar area. Mike the tour guide was brilliant and you could tell he had a real passion for real ale. I would definitely do the tour again and I'm looking at booking as a birthday present the for someone. out of all 8 real ales there was only one I wasn't too keen on. I even enjoyed the stout which I don't usually like. Well done tunnel brewery.
Tunnel Brewery is a micro-brewery tucked away in the Warwickshire countryside where, on cold, breezy day, about 20 people arrived for a brewery visit that exceeded all expectations. None of your 1/2 pint of beer at the end as is so common in brewery visits, but a generous sampling session of all the products. The visit started in the mashing room then moved to the fermentation - with tastings along the way. Upstairs to a convivial couple of rooms where Bob, the co-owner and excellent raconteur, introduced and opened the full range of the brewery's products. To help the tasting, nibbles, including dark chocolate to complement the porter, were provided. Plenty of beer. A convivial time was enjoyed by all.Oh ... ask Bob about the local parish council......
Rumour has it.......that you won't beat a visit to the tunnel brewery. Well it's true. This isn't one of those tours where you are patronised and talked at for an hour with a small beaker of beer to sample at the end. Plenty of banter with both mike and Bob (or bullsh*t bob as I renamed him) and plenty of tasters made this a very enjoyable couple of hours. They even let you buy as much or as little of your favourite as you like (but no hard sell from these guys). Rumour also has it we'll be paying a return visit soon.
I was given the tour as a fathers day gift. We went in a group of four and we all enjoyed it. Very interesting and plenty of beer tasting and a fantastic host. You do not need to be a real alefan to enjoy this tour.
