A nice walk where you can let your children run around. There is a large pond where you feed the ducks. There are apple trees growing in the botanical gardens, where kids can pick up the apples from the ground. You can also take a picnic in and sit on the grass. There are no bike tracks through the park.
Liked the peaceful nature and flower garden styles. A pleasant walk around the gardens to feel at ease.
A perfect place for a lovely walk and to see lots of birds and beautiful flowers and trees. There is a lake to walk around and a café beside the car park.
An awesome place to visit nice gardens to see and some nice quite areas to sir and listen to birds also can have a picnic as nice gardens to sit in and relax
Visited the gardens in late July (23/07/2014) and enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. Beautiful views of the surrounding countryside was very soothing for 'urban' eyes. The sun-dial was a very interesting feature. We enjoyed the duck pond as well as walking though the gardens and seeing the wattles and red-flowering gum trees.
We went to walk around the gardens on a surprisingly cold, wet day in January. They are lovely, with some interesting sculpture here and there, lovely lawns, interesting displays of fruit trees and lovely stands of native trees. A lot of the areas look quite new and under construction still. We walked the "Country Walk" in both directions - I'd guess once around is about a kilometre, maybe 1.5km, on a good, well-made gravel path that you could easily manage with a stroller or wheelchair.
It's very open and looks nice but doesn't have a lot of variety. Would be good for taking your kids to on a family weekend.
Great walking tracks, beautiful picnic spot and a lovely place for a wedding ceremony. Next to the Adventure Playground, it's an ideal spot to take the family for the afternoon for lunch or grab a coffee and a book and rest under many of the beautiful trees in the gardens
Not much to see or do in the gardens. Would be a nice place for a picnic if you bring one. Went there for a walk which was nice
Theses gardens are outstanding value, very well looked after with many lovely restful shady areas under beautiful mature trees. You could allow a good two hours strolling around, weather permitting. Go there early while the temperature is still cool.
