This is a small museum but very interesting. Not a lot of money to get in and the information was over-welling. Good place for everyone, including the kids!
I enjoyed this museum. It was small but informative and interesting. The most interesting feature was the jail cells beneath the museum - original jail cells, and you can even go in one of them. It costs $10 for adults, and they have a good gift shop. If you are looking for something quick and different to do while taking a break from skiing, I highly recommend this museum.
The Park City museum is a good alternative way to spend an afternoon if you don't feel like skiing. Who knew that there was an underground ski subway! What I found most interesting, was the contrast between Park City as a mining town, compared to Vail which was purpose-built as a ski town. The exhibits are well done. Entry fee $10.
I travel to Park City annually, and I always make an effort to hit the museum when in town! Unlike many ski towns, Park City has a rich and interesting history. The museum has done a great job of making this history come to life. It's a great way to kill an hour or two when you are taking a break from skiing!
What a wonderful museum on Park City's Main Street documenting the mining heritage of the community. Very professionally developed exhibits.
This museum gave a really nice history of Park City. The staff was very helpful and their store had some really nice items, very tempting!
Despite its small size, the 3-story museum packs a punch with a history of mining and skiing that created the boom, bust and boom again economy in Park City. Worth the price of admission and great interactive exhibits on all 3 floors--especially for kids of all ages.
Thank you for taking the time to visit the Park City Museum. Thank you for taking the time to thoroughly visit the museum. We love to hear that people have had an enjoyable time engaging with Park City's history. The to scale model is indeed based on the silver mining that was done here in Park City. And if you can believe it, the deepest shaft in Park City went 2,500 feet underground! We hope you had a great time in Park City!
Great for kids and adults. We enjoyed taking a break from the slopes and getting in some history! The staff was friendly and the kids never complained.
Everyt hing was excellent! History at it's best! A must for adults and children alike. We as a family enjoyed it very much! A great way to learn history and have some fun.
