make sure to bring 1 Euro coins per person so you can get through the gate. The best view of the old town - great way to get yourself oriented. And just very scenic
For a Euro you can walk along the old town walls and up a couple of towers for stunning views of Piran
The entry is 1 € - please make sure you have change with you. And from there you can see the whole city Piran. It is amazing. Especially if you go there to the the sunset. You have to go here when you are in Piran.
It's not easy getting up to the Town Walls, but it is worth the uphill walk. Have one euro ready to put in the locked turnstile to enter the grounds and access the stairs to climb to the top of the walls. The views of Piran and the Adriatic Sea are stunning and you can pretend you are a crow on the Night's Watch!
The view over Piran is the best from this place. OK, maybe also the tower next to the church can compare with it. However a tourist might welcome an information table or a plan, that would enable him to better understand what he sees before him. Be prepare to climb a bit!
This is the best place to get a 360-degree view of the surroundings. As you would expect, the stairs are steep and narrow and there is quite a bit of a climb to reach the town walls, but it's definitely worth it! As of August 2014, the entry fee is 1 euro. There is a change machine at the entry.
Amazing views - I nearly didn't go up as the view from the street is quite nice, but going up to view Piran is worth the tiny amount of money. I definitely recommended it!
We were only in Piran for the afternoon, but we were told to take a hike to the town walls. We walked the steep streets up to the entrance of the walls, which was a workout in its own. To access the walls, you one Euro coin to get through the turnstile. There is a little restaurant next to the entrance that has drinks in small cooler for purchase if you need change. There are a few different levels on the walls, so if you can't/don't want to climb any more stairs, you will have a nice view of the town and sea. Worth one Euro.
The walls themselves are interesting, but the reason to come here is for the view of Piran. It doesn't take long to get here from the center of the city, but it is an uphill walk.
Part of a private tour of cave, castle and the town of Piran. When we got there, the sun came out and it was beautiful.Climbing the stairs of the wall can be cumbersome, they are very tight.Once you are up there, the view is amazing. You are overlooking the whole town which is like a finger sticking in the sea, and you can see Italy from there as well, if it is clear.
